Its simple, a bounty hunter gets a player mission of an opposite faction. A certain amount of faction gets put at risk, 100 faction points, 200,500, obviously this amount would be subject to an argument regardless so I'm not going to even try to set an amount, enough so it means something.

This amount would be lost by theloser of the battle, and won by the winner of the battle (go figure

), this could end the argument that the jedi have nothing to gain by fighting and also add a little more fuel to the ongoing fight between rebels and imperials.

neutral player or jedi what do they gain or loose from this or are we forcing them to join a faction

Not try to flame your idea man, but Faction points means squat.

You know how much faction I can rack up in an hour if I take my Jedi into the Weapons Dev Facility on Naboo?

i got almost 10k in half an hour. Yeah faction points are about as meaningful as pvp rating. I can make any template that has 2 area attacks and some decent healing afk all night at weapons depot. Guys on Radiant are constantly there, just set up amacro go afk for the night come back with a nice hunk of about 50k faction. Faction points serve one purpose, bases, bases serve 1 purpose, obtaining control of a planet, obtaining control of a planet serves as pretty much nothing. So basicially after you get the rank you want and maybe a sf detach or 2 faction points become worthless.

That's one of the reasons I believe heartily that both Jedi and BH should have separate factions. The Jedi/BH encounter would be Factional PvP, where both are treated as "Overt" to each other for the duration of the battle. In this way, a Ranking system could be implemented outside the traditional GCW, so instead of seeing BH say "I've killed 100 Jedi" or a Jedi say "I've never lost to a BH" - We could say "I have 1369 BH Faction points" - And know this person has killed a lot of Jedi.

don't u get faction points for killing the gungans at the gungans vs imp battle poi on naboo?

seen a few imp playersthere area attacking the gungans when i've been attacking the imps for reb faction points

Shhh. Don't tell people that. I have the market cornered selling the gungan faction @ 1000/cpu! Now you ruined it.

But seriuosly, we can't farm REBEL faction like that.

Ask around I know imperials who AFK faction all night long, judgeing by the numbers I see down there when Im ATK faction farming, its not a big secret.

Yes, Imps can farm faction points in the Talus weapons depot. There's a poi for it. I've been there for quite some time now. Good spot.
