Thread: I just gotta speak out about this.
I've been on the forums for a little while, and I keep hearing the same thing from everyone (almost) from Bounty Hunters to Jedi. First of all, it's pretty obvious to everyone in the game that SOE is NOT following the timeline verbatim. Good reason for that: if they did, the game would only last a few years and then 'Poof'. no game. They'd either have to let the timeline build it'self, or close it down.
Now, this is my problem: What was Star Wars ABOUT? The Fall of Aniken Skywalker, and his redemption by his son Luke. Both Jedi. At the time of Phantom Menace, there were THOUSANDS of Jedi, I've heard from 10,000 to multiples of that. It doesn't matter, there was a Potato Sack load of em. At the beginning of A New Hope, there were only a few (most in hiding, and never seen in the first three movies). Only Ben and Yoda were seen in the original movies besides Luke. Does that mean that there weren't still a few thoudan left? NO !!
What it means is that those of us who are, or want to be Jedi, aren't playing in character. If you don't like RPG, then that's OK. If you do, don't acknowlege but a few of those you see. See them as imposters if you have to. But to say that there weren't but a few is not playing the game they way it was set up. It is NOT following the timeline.
The main groups that I hear this from are Bounty Hunters and Jedi.
Point #1) Jedi: Why are you griping because there are pleanty of you? Why isn't there cooperation between the Jedi to counteract the BH's? Start a damn Jedi Guild, or join one. If there are many, start a Jedi Council with the leaders meeting for cooperation and colaboration. IT?"S A WAR.
Point #2) Bounty Hunters. What are you griping about, Jedi are your Paycheck. ESPECIALLY PADAWANS. You should be trying to get every noobie out there to go Paddie, it's more (and easier) money in your pockets. As for the Knights and Masters, so freakin what? If you wanna hunt them, hunt them. If you don't, then don't. And for the love of the Force, quit saying that "if they didn't want to go PVP, they shouldn't nbe Jedi. They MUST WANT TO!" That makes about as much since as saying that, people that smoke WANT cancer. Duh !! No, it doesn't... it means that, that is the price they pay for being Jedi. They are willing to pay it, not that it's what they want. How would you feel if a bunch of Jedi starrted going around, in organised and coordinated squads, hitting you? Or the Imps?
Besides, thats EXACTLY WAHT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING !!
It's a war, remember?
All this complaining one side against another is childlike. Yes, it's the price of being a Jedi, so Jedi (again) It's a war!! bounty Hunters can use ANY means they want to kill you !!
Of all they players in the Galaxy, the BHs are the one's playing in character.
Yes, I'm a Novice BH. But I'm going Jedi.
I know I'll be hunted.
I know I'll be hated.
But guess what?
I'm gonna play in Character. I'll do good, even to those that hate me. I'll help the innocent, protect the helpless, and all that corny stuff, and I couldn't care less who like's it or not, or who like ME or not. Jedi are hated. Accornuing to the timeline (remember) they are supposed to be right now. But the probel is, they are hated in the game through the fault of a few Jedi. Remember Gank Squads and fight clubs?
What did we think would happen? People would love us just because they are suppoed according tothe movies?
Again I say it... Duh !!
Now, I know that a lot of you won't agree with what I said. Thats fine. That doesn't keep it from being true.
My main point is that some people are spending so much time griping that they aren't enjoying the game. Just play in character. It's a game, and it's a War. Act accordingly. If you get ganked or jumped, or something else, do a counter offensive!
But please, quit griping about the way things are. They're supposed to be that way.

What really doesnt make sense is when someone freely chooses to do something difficult something that actually takes effort and then proceeds to whine incessantly about it every chance they get.
