Thread: Oh nOEs!! A BH! close but no cigar...(highlighted for quicker reading)

While grinding with a group of guildies we had recieved notice of a rebel base under attack near our city. Being that the group was all special forces it seemed appropriate to assist out fellow rebels in the fight against the tyranical oppressors.
Upon arrival the battlefield appeared to be in the hands of the Imperials. They had lined the northern perimeter with a plethora of heavy turrets and were using them for cover. There must have been over 12 turrets! (I do not do alot of PvP)
After 30 minutes of building up defenses adn rallying the troups I notice a name of a Rebel Bountyhunter who was beleived to have a mission on a fellow guildie. I decide to make a few suicide runs to hit a pesky turret and upon dealing the final blow the turrret seems to get it's revenge upon me.As I await my local Doctor I begin to survey the battlefield and it appears the BH is paying an increased amount of attention towards me although I have nothingto be worried since I'm a fulltemp and EVERY Bountunter know better then to mess with us. (hehe yeah right!)
The Doc gives me a nice rez and as I await for the groginess to subside and begin to reconfig my food into my toolbar I notice the BH moving towards me. *pop!! *pop!!*pop!! I'm taking fire and I only have 300 health, less then 15% action and mind! Oh nOEs!!! I'm dEAd!!!!Hah, WRONG!
My first responce was to hit heal (/heal self keymapped to Enter key on 10key pad for easy access) then get up /forceValor. I pop some synthe steak and consume some of the fabled wine of the Mandolorians. "Oh man, I'm a gonner" I had thought.
I notice the BH has a few pets chasing me, bomb droids!?!? I throw down a /forcesuppression on the BH and creat some distance so I can regain my stat pools. "Uh oh! A Combatmedic!" This guy was healing for 2k! Aww man, now I'm on fire, poisoned and ticking at about 290 per state. I'm thinking I better get this under control or I'm toast. ( I had less then 45% force when he intiated his attack)
My stats are looking better, I'm using basic attacks just to chip away at this guy and appears I've found a nice medium on recieving damage keeping my aggressor busy. As I regain my confidence I move in to begain my counter attack. "armorbreak, saberthrow, powerhit, headhit, saberthrow" he getoff two heals and one of themhealed 2k again! "OMG! NERF NERF NERF!" (just kidding, I think it's workin VERY well the way it is.)
(At this point I'm feeling a little bummed that I was not more prepared to be running FRAPS for my latest project. I wanted to get actuall footage as much as possible and I missed the opportunity here.)
As I work through the standard routine of passive offense and attempt to become a nusence I'm getting some good tells in groupchat and hilarious comments in TS. "He's wearing RIS armor! WRECK IT !!!" Ok ok, it was a funny thought although I know what that stuff costs and it's not worth it. The fight has gone on for about 15 minutes and I'm thinking about going for the kill now. I set up my /supression and land blind, dzzy, armor break, stun then follow up with a nice SaberthrowKD and unleash a barage of of heavy hitting attacks. Bam!! He goes down! Arrgghhh, damned server thinks I'm moving and can't get in the DB. Finally,I getthe job done.
The BH gets a few tips from the guildies for a good show and being a good sport. (curious how much he got. I'm thinking about hunting myself around the guildies so I can get rich, Mwuahahaha..!!!) He's a good player, no flames, no rants, not even a single excuses. This is what Bountyhunters are truely made of!
Whilegetting my stats up I begin to review the combat log. I'm puzzled why I didn't get incaped on his first strike. Hmm...seems first attack was less then 300 points of damage and the second one was +blocked+ which allowed me to get in my first heal of 1500 after the rez.
My conclusion, I was gonner and had prevailed by the skin of my Rodian teeth.

Stupid BH tbh, I would wait on the Jedi to be ressed and incap in one hit just after. I wouldn't let him heal to take more than 2 hits to incap.
Oh well, stupid BHs are everywhere...

hehe, all the jedi worth being jedi come to this forum. No cries of nerf, no complaining. Just dealing with it and let the best man/woman win. This is the way it should be.

Too bad I missed it, I was gone most of the weekend and did a marathon grind session last night til' 3 AM.
Didn't even look at Guildchat or turn on Teamspeak to see what was up, sounds like I missed some fun.
Got to 3444 sabers though and am 1/2 way to 4444. 5 skillpoints to go!!

Sorry if my abilitly to reconstruct the events were out of place. Your suggestion is EXACTLY what he did !!!
I may need to reread my initial post although I believe I did express that he attacked me as soon as I was rezed although the 1st hit was 258, the second missed which allowed for me to heal. I hadless then 100 health after his first hit and the combat log shows I was able to mitigate his damage. (dont rcall is I was able to get in synthe steal the second I was healed although I do recal spaming several defenses before he even attacked)
I also had special forces moving on my possition when it was noticed that I had been rezd.
His first attack landed within 8 seconds of me being rez'd. (some lag)
