Thread: Jedi on Kash...

Ok, keep in mind, as I post this, I have both a jedi and a bounty hunter character. And, after I talked to other BH's that I know, I figured I'd address something.

Ok, basically yesterday I was angered a bit by a Bh that made a comment that "Jedi on Kash are wasting my time making me work harder..." I don't get how they could be wasting your time. BH hunt to kill jedi to try to keep the population down (most common reason...) and want the jedi "Out of sight"... Well, on Kash, they are.

Not everyone likes PVP. EVERYONE likes Jedi. Forced pvp = bad. You're 5 min-5hours searching for this person is just as bad as the 5-10 hours (not counting double exp cuz it ends soon) to make up for a BH death doesn't really cause much fun. It may be fun for you, but keep in mind, there's another person on the other end. There are many overt jedi, just waiting for the chance to test their skills, why not focus on them instead. Also, many players get hit by multiple BH in a given time period, don't assume you're the only one and kill that person over and over. That won't just "lower the jedi population" that might cause that person to quit the game.

Think about your actions before you go and ruin someone else's game. And the Jedi on Kash are grinding out of sight, out of mind. Hell, I didn't know there was that many people that earned their padiwan status until I went looking around a bit. I think it's quite cool.

It's not that jedi is too easy to get, the game is maturing. Jedi is the only real goal (besides mando, but face it, it requires a jedi to get so blah) anyway.

Yeah yeah, we know becoming a jedi = you're hunted, but remember that person on the other end. The jedi have been forced into hiding on Kash, that should be good enough. Kash = a remote planet.

That's my 2 cents. Hate it, love it, but have fun, and at least respect others fun.

How many of those Jedi do you think will STAY on Kash, once they're done grinding?

Well, thats when you fight them. For now they're out of sight, out of mind. I know I only used to try to fight knights, and sometimes I won. I mean it's not like you can say they came to your spot and killed you while you grinded. You grinded in peace, let them.

As far as them coming off kash, how many times have you had help from a jedi during a quest? Many of us have. And if you EVER plan on getting Mandalorian armor, it's a guarantee that you'll need one's help. Don't burn your bridges.

Ya forced PvP = bad.

But saying that Jedi are forced into PvP is the same thing as saying Special Forces are forced into PvP. Electing to be a Jedi is electing to PvP against Bounty Hunters. Therefore, while I go through every possible step to insure that I'm not griefing them, that Jedi had better come to terms with the fact that they chose to be PvP'd, and if they don't like it, they should've left their lightsaber off.

Dont use overgenralizations, like all, everyone, all BH's, or All Jedi. You arew stereotyping, and secondly i hate jedi, not the people that play them, just the stupid avatar itself. Another thing, and every BH uses this argument, Its not forced PvP, you can choose to not be a jedi or not get on the terms. Thirdly the BH your quoting must be an idiot, If my droid tells me the jedi is on kashyyk i know exactly where he/she is, maybe i dont know what instance, but i do know what spot. It takes a max of 20min to check every instance of the ryatt trail. (See how i used every there). Any BH worth his salt knows that hunting on kashyyk is an easy paycheck, the jedi who are there are either AFKers or they are mid level paddies. Very rarely do i see a full templated non-AFKer on the trail. And why dont you respect my fun? Dont like PvP, dont be a jedi, Dont Like BH hunts, Dont be a Jedi. Also If i cause a person to quit the game, it IS population control. And no one ever killed themselves over a game of SWG. Also as my final point/rant You get a free alt character, you can play him whenever you want and never get into PvP. NeitherBH, Artisans, Armorsmiths, smuglers or Swordman get alt characters, so enjoy your free character that you got by grinding 2 months for. To all Vet-Pre-pub-9 Jedi you deserve your alts, and you deserve to be 1.5-2.0 Times stronger than any other profession. To all other jedi you are cows to the slaughter. And thats MY 2 cents, Flame on.

Random Jedi: Oh no a BH killed me, whaaaaaaaa.

Random BH: (Kills Jedi a Second Time).

Random Jedi: This is to hard I quit.

Random BH: Thank god, 1 down 47% of each server left to go.

Its Been Real, Its Been Fun... But it hasn't been real fun. I hope that everyone that stays has fun with the NGE. And Remember....Stay Classy SWG ;-)

Hehehe, I burned my bridges a long time ago. However, your arguement is flawed. Sure they might be out of sight, out of mind now, but if everyone leaves them alone now, the cities are gonna be overrun with flashlight wielding gangs even more than they are now.

If kashyyyk was a remote planet they wouldn't be getting on the terms. Sure if they're grinding on kashyyyk solo thats remote, but they're grinding in groups of 8, more often than not afk.Majority of them don't care enough to grind at the keyboard for their EXP, why should we care what we take away, if they got it doing something that wasnt intended to be done. I dont see why you bhs dont stand upfor your selves?

I mean common.... Get a couple groups of 8 and hit the trails early evening to late night. Kill every jedi taht is over 150k.

Do this for a week or 2 and the jedi will think twice before going down there.

If you do it early enough the jedi wont get any xp and instead will lose it.

BH only hunting full template jedi is not the point of the profession. BH job is to Keep the jedi population under control and out of sight (with double xp thats been hard). I'm curretnly both and I think the system works fine.

Agreed.

However, some Bounty Hunters seem to think that just because Jedi Hunting is part of their content, that we should just march right up to them and let them attack us.

Though I have no problem with BHs and skill loss, you guys have to remember, nothing good comes from a grinding Jedi being attacked by a BH. There is no advantage to us whatsoever.

So while I will never complain if I am killed by a Bounty Hunter and take skill loss, I'm not going to make it easy for you either.

This is a game, and games need to be playable. That is a key factor to making the game fun and reasonable. Every Jedi makes a choice to enter the world of BH'ing and pvp'ing.

How is it playable, how is it a game when an entire planet leaves them in relative anonymity with little risk of detection? Oh, and please add force cloak to the equation when they are discovered.

Great job Devs, tell us to do our jobs (at FF Anaheim 1) and keep the population down. Thengive them a perfect spawning ground to make mastery with little to no repurcussions, give them the ability to cloak and totally disappear and THEN unleash them on the pvp world. Blame the BH for not doing their jobs.

Feel free to search the Galactic vender and see who is making millions hording and selling all of Kashy's high-end loot items. On Ahazi, its alot of Jedi. Innoncently grinding on Kash? Farming millions is more like it.

This is ridiculous I launched 12 different droids on 12 different BH missions, ALL on Kash, everyone. I tried to overcome and make it fun went on foot to the planet a searched the old fashioned way, with my own two eyes. I finally find the Jedi, after hours of searching, and he cloaks and runs away. Great Job Devs! Great Job...why are we Master Bounty Hunters? What is our Job? Must be dealing with impotence.

I love kashyyk missions, they are easiest to find, and are almost alway low on force when I whack em.
