Bounty Hunter Archive

Normally I'm not a big fan of posting about my kills. I just do my thing, kill my mark, and then go back to being a guild leader. However this is one of the most enjoyable Jedi kills I've ever done, and I believe some people at least would get a kick out of it.

I'm sitting around in my guild city playing with the bounty hunter terminal, and I pick up my mark. I go to Dathomir, grab the bio signature, drop the droid, and find him to be on Talus. Talus based Jedi are stupidly rare on my server, so I figured he wasn't going to be there for long. I went to Theed to wait for him and sure enough, he dropped off in Keren, and then headed to De'ja Peak. I bought a pair of shuttle tickets, went over to the Peak, and saw that he was in a building on the ridge.

I went up the ridge, into the building, and there's a Jedi, in full Padawan robes, surrounded by a pack of Rebel friends. I walk halfway up the stairs, take aim, and blast. His first inclination was to fight. He spun around, whipped out his lightsaber, rushed me and began fighting. I took a total of one KD, and lost a few points of damage, but almost immediately he Force ran. Due to the bugginess of buildings, he looked like he was running around in circles and his dot on the radar gave the impression that he had fled outside.

So I burst ran outside and began chain hitting knock down. Odd, he was still in the building. Grinning, realizing he was trapped like a rat downstairs, I ran in, and let his buddies lead me down to him. They appeared to be a pikeman, a combat medic, and he himself was a doctor, so he was pumped full of heals. A battle ensued in the basement before he managed to run outside. I chased him, and being on leave, an Imperial patrol told me to halt for an inspection.

First thought that came to mind was Egads you fool, I'm decked out in scout armor and chasing a Jedi through the street, leave me the hell alone, so I lost 50 faction points, no big deal. He goes running through alleyways, behind buildings and finally over the far ridge into the trees below. I continue chasing, knocking him down, rooting him, but he was well buffed and instead of focusing on fighting, he was focusing entirely on healing.

His pikeman friend, the entire time, pursued me, attempting to challenge me to a duel. I shrugged him off non-chalantly, he was unimportant, I wanted my mark. Just as I catch up to my mark, he gets up, pulls back out his lightsaber, and starts swinging at me. I take menial amounts of damage, but continue to lay it on him. Just as he's about to go down, his pikeman friend comes flying over the ridge on his vehicle, and I see the Jedi hop in and fly off. I start blasting, a few times while on foot I managed to get him out, but he'd always get back in in time.

I hop on my BARC, pursue, and easily overtake them in speed. I get out, and then something dawned on me. I /dumped my targetting macro, targeted his friend, accepted the duel, targeted his vehicle, and blasted it, resulting in a brilliant explosion. I then focused my ire once more on the Jedi.

We continue to bout, until the Jedi gets into another MPV, and I see him fleeing towards what was no doubt a safe house. Again I cut them off, get out, challenge his friend to a duel (who since cancelled) and began pelting him. Before his friend could do anything, I finally finished him off, took my screenshot, gave him the obligatory "Good fight" tell, and went back to the shuttle port. Just as I'm crossing the ridge to get to the shuttle port, I see "Wookie_Pikeman accepts your duel". I grinned when I saw the red dot on the map, turned around, and proceeded to destroy him with root and my carbine.

I walked up, gave him his obligatory death blow, proceeded back to the shuttle port, sat down to log, and had a pleasant conversation with the Jedi, who said how cool he thought the fight was.
