Thread: SamousNemo...
If someone is not in combat with you, then they have every right to log off, AFK or whatever whereever they please. As has been remarked already, there are any number of Real World™ things that can happen which require immediate attention - a friend might ring at the door, your phone might ring, food might start burning, etc. The notion that someone should be prevented from going AFK purely to satisfy your bloodlust is staggering.
"Why don't they just log off?" Well, again as another person has remarked in the main thread - there are often times when you think a Real World™ activity is going to take only a minute or so, but ends up running on for a while. You can't legislate for that, and it may not be possible in some cases to stop whatever it is you're doing in the Real World™, come back to your PC and log out. You could be arrested by the Police, for example.
These are my thoughts...
A BH should be able to enter any private structure that his mark enters, while the BH is within a certain distance of the mark (and after having commenced an attack). You wouldn't necessarily have to be in combat for this, but as long as you can "see" (lets say for the sake of argument - up to 500m) your mark, then you can enter any private structure they enter.
If the Jedi gets more than 500m away and is able to enter a private structure, the normal rules should apply.
Not sure how it would be best to handle pulling missions on Jedi who are actually already in a private structure - maybe you could have it that in addition to your "active" mission - you could pull another 1 or 2 missions for Jedi who are in private structures. Then, when the Jedi9s) exits the structure(s) you are given a choice whether you wish to persue them (and drop your current active mission), or carry on with your active Jedi mission. You could even be provided with a waypoint, but not the ability to attack, so you can determine whether they are actually not AFK anymore.
Thoughts?
I disagre, roleplaying wise, if you have done something that puts you onto th bounty hunter terminals you shouldnt have a second where you arnt worrying about getting attacked. If you let your defenses downa dn go afk for anytime then it should be your loss and not another game players. Dont forget that when became a jedi you also accepted the risks, its not something that you should be able to turn on and off whenevr you feel like it. If you want to play safely you have an alt for that.

Everybody is talking about risk vs. pay.
Whats the risk for one jedi? And what does that guy get as return?
The best way to deal with that issue is just have the jedi not pop up on the terminals if they are static ina private house. I am a BH also, and I absolutely hate getting toa jedi mark that is inside a damn house. Hes not even hiding from me, he doesnt even know im there, hes just afk, very time consuming, very annoying. Ejecting them from the house doesnt accomplish anything, you end up killing an afk toon more often then not. That just isnt any fun, and fun is why we play.
They also need to take kasshyk jedi and space jedi off terminals too, thats just a god damn annoying waste of droids.
Imo people need to step back and realise that players = people, and in a lot of cases these people have things going on around them in real life that means they are not at the keyboard every second they are logged in.
You could argue that Jedi on the terms should "expect" to have to log out every single time they want to: use the toilet, answer the phone, feed the cat, etc. You can only push the BH vs Jedi game mechanic so far... what next, driving around to the players house and forcing them back onto their computer so they can engage in combat?
ah yes. because we have taken a profession then we always have to fight people whatever the situation might be. Im a jedi, i knew the risks, i shouldnt be able to go take a piss in while i sit AFK in my private house, I knew i would be content for other people bla bla bla. For one, get a new arguement. Two, pull your head out of your ass and get some air. The lack of oxygen is affecting the way you think

There is no need for a new argument as nobody has produced a good counter one to this one.

This is one, but I do not agree with your thinking. You are a correspondant. Not a dev or the sole leader of the BH community. What your job here is to SUPPORT our ideas and issues. You are a liasion to the devs. You are our voices. It isnt up to you what you want to pursue. If you want to have our support, then you need to rethink how you handle things. I know you just started as a correspondant, so I am giving you some advice. Instead of listenting to your own ideas and thinking about how YOU can improve the BH profession, you need to listen to our ideas and do your best to make us happy. That is what a correspondant does. Take a look at all of the other correspondants. They do their best for their profession. That's what you need to focus on.
Is a forced eviction or the likes something the devs are likely to agree with though?
In my mind, directing the discussion away from the realm of "will never happen but you guys want it anyway" and into the realm of "We might get this to happen" and then propagate the second set of ideas, is one of the things a correspondent should be doing.
Why waste time and energy debating over someting the devs will never agree to anyway when we can devote the time and energy to something constructive?

Like I said if you go to the loo its a risk you take, just like if you were being hunted irl.
well then
You knew the risks of being a BH. you knew that it cost money to buy droids, foods, weapons, armor, and transportation. You knew that it was going to take time to track a target across multiple planets. You even knew that the jedicould be AFK in a house or doing space missions. Yet you still did the profession.
Like i said, just the risk you take when you are a BH. just as if you were a hunting irl.
