Ah finally - Someone who shares my thoughts on being a BH. We may not be scum, but our job is to either capture or kill a mark. Now, since we can't capture - Killing is the goal. There is nothing to be gained by being honorable - Only in completing my mission.

That's one of the reasons I believe heartily that both Jedi and BH should have separate factions. The Jedi/BH encounter would be Factional PvP, where both are treated as "Overt" to each other for the duration of the battle. In this way, a Ranking system could be implemented outside the traditional GCW, so instead of seeing BH say "I've killed 100 Jedi" or a Jedi say "I've never lost to a BH" - We could say "I have 1369 BH Faction points" - And know this person has killed a lot of Jedi.

It would also allow us to rid ourselves of the one foolish (IMHO) thing in the game - Refusal to take "same faction" missions. We are Bounty Hunters first - We have no emotional attachment to some Military organization. if you are my mark, I am coming for you, no matter who you salute.

hmm...I've only taken 1 Jedi mark, and was sort of dishartened from there. It was a perfect situation. He was it looked like shopping at the bazzar. So, I lay down and cover up and conceal shot followed by knock down shot. He gets up and runs into the launch term room and is gone. So, I call for another droid, and while I'm waiting I get this /tell saying how dishonorable I am in not duel challenging him, but using a cowardly ambush. From that point on I stopped taking Jedi marks. High level NPC don't complain, they drop loot and I still get paid. The pay keeps me in the profession. 29+K is 29+K no matter how you slice it, it is easy money. Some how I don't think walking up to a Jedi and asking for a duel is smart for a bounty hunter.

Use /addignore. I use this on all my marks prior to engaging, that way I don't have to read silly "dishonor" posts. I could care less if they arePOd at me or not. We as BHs need to be cunning and if waiting to take advantage of your mark's slip ups results in mission completion then so be it.

QFE. Well said. Any time I've been hunted and killed by a BH it's been when I've been out grinding. It's just simple good tactics. Any jedi the crys about getting killed either AFK, dueling or grinding should really grow up.

lol mind you I don't believe in killing my marks. I hunt players for fun alone. So I can't wait till the ranger revamp, i'm m ranger m scout m bh. I can't wait to find my mark dueling in public...ill sneak up place my bombs all around them and then use my kd and crit shot...once they try to come after me or run away... i press my detonater -cackle- yea I can't wait to be dishonorable =)

If I get caught with my pants down which has happened to me once when dueling a friend in the middle of nowhere, then even though I get mad at the XP loss, I hold no contempt for the BH who's only done what I would do if I was in his position. Taking advantage of a Jedi who's not prepared is what BH'ing is all about.

Whenever I get a Jedi complaingi about dishonorable actions I tell them this: "I'm not a Paladin, you want honor, go play WoW. I'm gonna do whatever it takes to get paid !!"
