Hi there... lookin for a melee class to go with my doctor skills...PvP mostly but also like to go out and PvE without getting totally owned... any suggestions would be much apreicated... kinda thinking heavy swordsmen/doctor or fencer/doctor thank you.

I use to be a TK/Doc....I personally think that is a great combo. you can heal yourself of anything w/ meditate, meditate buff, and you just a Kick Arse fighter. Those where the days....now I just run around With my DNA Poking Stick.

Master Brawler, Swordsman (for the Bleed), 0440 Doctor (for buffing) and some TKM for the knockdown and other defenses. This is quite possibly the best pvp template in the game, but you'll be missing out on the awesome dots from Combat Medics.

Well, I've been playing SWG for a little while, I've tried every combat profession but Carbineer (note: I only have 5 masters, but have tried a lot). I was wondering, is Bounty Hunter/Carbineer fun? Not saying is it the best, I'm saying is it fun. I don't care about owning everything that walks in pve (I'm tkm right now and anything except real high end stuff dies quickly to me), or killing Jedi, or being the best PvP template. Any feedback would be great. Also, if there is another fun Bounty Hunter template I'd like to hear of that too. I am leaning for Bounty Hunter because it looks fun, and I would like to start roleplaying ingame. I've tried it before but only got the pistol line and some of lightning cannon.

I heard Carbineer BH was fun and i think Pistoleer BH would be fun too. TKM with some BH might be cool too

Well, I kind of want master bounty hunter because I've decided to set the impossibly high goal on myself of getting a full set of mandolorian armor

At one time I was a Master Carbineer and a 0400 BH (Carb tree). I most say I really enjoyed it. If they had a DOT shot like pistols did, I would prolly drop Master Rifleman and master Carbs again. I believe that even though Carbs has a hell of a kd/dizzy shot, we need to be as strong as Riflemen and Pistols. Note: The counterattack defense for Carbs is still broke.

Oh, I haven't really done my homework on carbines, so just kind of plopped the question out Didn't know their defense was broken and assumed one of the leg shots would have an action bleed like health shot....unless I was using bleeding shot? lol Maybe I'll head over to the carbine forums and check out their pros/cons.

I am an MBH carbineer right now and I love it. Yes, action shot does do a DOT, but that other guy meant a fire DOT like torso shot probably. Once you get crippling shot in carbineer, and a decent laser carbine, you will never want to go back . I have hit for 4k plus damage in PvE with crippling shot. Plus you get some nice AOE dizzy attacks (full auto area 2)and even an AOE KD attack (charge shot 2, lots of fun). Not to mention, +200 carbine accuracy is really nice too, you almost never miss.

Denpends on what you want. Do you want a challange?...then go MBH/ carbineer. Its the hardest proffesion to do well with in the game as both proffesions are broke and atm. Want to have some fun and just kill everything then go BH3000 and TKM with and if you want to stick with the MBH then go MBH/ pistoleer for the best offense attacker and just dot the jedi to death. The choice is yours and yours alone.

Ok, well this is pretty easy I came back after taking a brake for a month and I am super confused on the proffesions now because of CU i was just wondering if there was a chart or something explaining their roles now.

The closest thing your explaining would be is using CNTRL S to bring up the skills menu. Then you can click on any of the profession boxes to see what weapons they specialize in etc..
