For mbh/mch how do you get the drop on your mark if you have to ride up and call 3 pets? Dont they just run at the first sight of you.
For mbh/msl do you have to first group with your droid before you can apply any buffs or are there some for just the sl with no grouping required.

You call 1 big bad ass pet and if you drop a camp the pet is called instantly. You really do need to get the drop on them though and thats why the location is very important for mbh/mch.

If you mean "marks" as in NPC Marks, they don't agro until you shoot them.

As a MCH/MBH, I just take the pets out a respectable distance away (IE, outside a "normal" radar distance) generally @300m out. I then use the pets to kill any low level critters as I am moving in - Makes me appear to be a simple MCH out training his pets...

For NPCs, it's no big deal. Get within 50m or so, call pets, drink thundercloud, eat something, prepare the "message to be delivered" for the mark (I always do this...I am an RPer, so sue me), go into Duelist stance, strike with torso, order the gnort to intimidate.
For Jedi, though....
Well IF I decide to attack, it's going to have to be a situation where I can get the pet out and then move in. However, I take Jedi missions for the actual hunt and stalk, not the kill, and then I do the absolutely unthinkable: I RP the Jedi. I confront them, I interrogate them about their whereabouts, I give them an opportunity to RP a Jedi and get off the hook.
So far the Jedi I've done this with have enjoyed NOT the combat, but the chance to actually engage in some RP in a MMORPG.
