Kashykk: New Jedi private grinding Planet, who needs houses when you got Kashykk? House TEF being implemented.. Who cares if they have their own friggin planet to live and grind on with virtually no risk.. someone please explain the logic of Kahykk to me, and it better not be: They want Jedi to grind in peace so their numbers can be increased..

No name: OK, No level status: OK, No faction: rather not, i dont like to kill own faction, but used to it as it is already so not really the biggest problem, but KAShykk.. man.. as it is now 90% of them practically live there already, now it will be the full 100%.

Explanation of Dev: Jedi will expose themselves eventually: That's true, after hours of long grinding on kashykk, im sure they have to get to their houses or whatever for 10 minutes or so, well that leaves quite an effective time for us BH to hunt them not? or did he mean, eventually they are full template and too bored to stay on kashykk so they'll take the risk of getting hunted by a sole BH (i mean full temp Jedi vs Full temp Bh still is about 10% chancefor the jedi to die, quite scary indeed.) What will we see: 100 full temp jedi creating lag waving their glowsticks around at the MOP, and 900 paddies grinding safely at kashykk. Eventually the numbers will be more like 900 full temps and 100 paddies. Very promising indeed....

Solution: Make tracking droids work on Kashykk, and if the devs are in a good mood also show faction of jedi, i'll be a happy camper then.

But we all know the true reason track droids don't work on kasshyk: its an instanced planet, cheap to make, but they made a slight oversight, the tracking droid code does not work on this, so they had to think up a poor excuse: Due to the large amount of lifeforms on kash.. blablabla, as if endor is a desolate desert planet or something.

This is so true. I used to be very annoyed by the TEF bug, but during the last few weeks I almost forgot it existed because ALL EXPLOITERS ARE ON KASHYYYK where they can not be tracked and where they can even not be attacked if they really want (use of broken line of sight), not grinding on a stupid planet where they can be tracked and attacked at any time.

Fixing the house TEF bug is nice, but it's not much an issue currently because the problem has moved to Kashyyyk. However when Kashyyyk will be fixed (if it is ever fixed), we'll be happy that the BH/Jedi TEF works. So, that's a fine fix, but not really an emergency at the moment.

I agree with you on this one, AFK grind is a huge black eye for all jedi that legit busted there butts grinding out in the pre CU days, dodging NPC's trying to stay off the terms, or even in the post CU days of group hunting on Dant or Lok. Best and easiest solution to the problem with AFK grinders is disable all XP on kashykk. Think about it, if SoE really wants to make a planet thats content driven then to that, dont make it a haven for jedi. make it a place where you can go do a quest have some fun, and save your grinding for dant / lok.

I am a former Jedi Knight, grinded my entire template solo on dant with out getting on the terminals once, until I was finished.

Also I have a M BH / Carb alt that I go hunting with.

Yeah the wooki planet seems to be the biggest problem atm, I have hunted loads of jedi with my alt, and over 90% of them are unfindable with droids. I placed them on my friendslist to see if they were online and they are, so SOE should fix this real soon...

But then again when did SOE fix anything needed for the game, that was brought to light by the gaming community?

Look Kashyyk is only a problem if you are lazy

There is one good grinding spot with 6 instances. Thats 6 spots.

Go to each one and see if the mark is there

Non Jedi grind there just as much as Jedi also.

Honestly...my BIGGEST problem with Kashyyyk (OTHER then the LOS) is the inability to find out if the Jedi I'm hunting has already left the planet. Talk about a wild goose chase. I have spent more then a few hours "hunting down" my mark...only to be left wondering, "Maybe they already left the planet, and I'm missing my chance to catch them on another planet".

Just because they were on Kashyyyk last time you checked, does NOT mean they are going to stay there until you find them.

WRONG...

Rryat trail has 6 instances

The Mydril Caves have 6 instances

Then there is the Hunting grounds...That place is pretty big and limited to mount travel. In the hunting grounds I have found Jedi by the Ullers, and webweaver canyon.

Then, while not really ON Kashyyyk, the Avatar platform, which takes a bit of time to get to is becoming popular....INSTANCED! Even if I launch up to the Avatar, I believe it's a different Avatar all together, locking out anyone NOT in the group.

Lazy...I think not. The bottom line....it's just not worth a mere 226K (as if fully templated Jedi still grind) to find a Jedi who is going to move 15m into a LOS.

That would be true if it wasn't for LoS exploit.

I think not. And there are not 6 spots, there are actually 12, 2 on each instance. The Jedi who *really* know how to exploit move to the second spot because there usually isn't a spy toon standing down there and they don't even get visability. Typically you find 4-6 on the top spot and they are all on the terms, but then the next spot will also have 3-4 not on the terms, so basically 60 Jedi grinding at any one time. Running down to these two locations is not an excersise in fun gameplay either. Since I have not figured out how to exploit my way in (not willing to either), I pretty much have to be willing to take 1 or 2 incaps to get to the Jedi. Well, I guess I could fight my way down but that takes forever and a day and that is if you don't "fall" off anywhere along the way and have to /unstick yourself to the last trail guide you were at. Lastly, there are rarely any non-Jedi there. There may be 1 spy, and 1 or 2 other toons mixed in grinding, but those are usually just Jedi wannabe's anyway.

Ryatt Trail grinding Jedi will become the the most irritating targets once the terminal changes come live. Right now it is a mere inconvenience since usually a BH spy can tell you which trail your mark is on.
