Thread: Bounty Hunting is not hard enough
im to the point to where i think any elite master could hunt players. I just hate seeing so many people of my profession running around. Ive never been about FOTM

One goes to a terminal finds the mark he want and proceeds to the nearest Spy-net op and gets a bio signature. Then fire off a probe droid and in seconds you know where the mark is, at least what planet they are on, and you go kill them or at least attempt to. Does anyone see where I am going with this???? TOO EASY!!! Bounty Hunting is an art and requires patience and determination with this current system anybody with a respec token can become a MBH and go hunt jedi. There has to be a way to separate the "men from the boys" for lack of a better term. I have been a BH for a long time and there are a few things I would love to see.1) First and foremost i want to see an end to the needless searching of the terminals for a mark to kill. A bounty search should be implemented.2) Bounty Hunters should have to place their own spy-net ops around the galaxy to gather intelligence for them. A hunt is a quest and should be treated as such.3) Jedi should not be huntable till MBH instead of investigation 3. Too many people are "wanna-be" BH's and this would definitely thin the numbers down a bitThese are just a few ideas. I welcome any other suggestions anyone may have.I also have a statement to make to all the BH's that whine because they can't beat a fully templated jedi before their action pool is dead. You shouldn't be able to beat them easily. A Jedi Knight should not be a soloable mark. If you are going to whine because they are too strong or that we BH's are too weak just watch the movies again or play any other Star Wars game that has jedi and realize that A Jedi Knight is a bad mutha and deserves respect when being fought. If the jedi in SWG had the saber block abilities of the jedi in any other game(as they should) it would be even harder to kill them. So if you can't take losing to them don't hunt them
First off, you have a good point regarding how "easy" it is to hunt jedi. The ones who do what you're talking about are usually the ones who end up dead because they don't take the time to learn what kind of jedi they are hunting, what skills they likely have, their tactics, etc. As for your options:
1. I don't see the possibility of having a "bounty search" option. That could definitely lead to griefing a single jedi. What might be a good alternative is to separate PC and NPC marks on the terms.
2. This isn't feasable. It's bad enough that we have afk spammers and droids littering everywhere. Now we'll have hundreds, if not thousands, of spynet ops all over the place. Nothing like adding a little more lag to the game.
3. This is completely rediculous. I've been MBH before, but there's a reason I'm only 4000 BH, I like MCarbs/MCM combo better.

Iv'e got no problem with that... providing we are allowed to group to take one on. As it stands, expect the nerf bat to catch Jedi again on the the backswing. If we're forced almost exclusivelyto attempt to solo full-templates - and with the change to group vis, the VAST majority on the terms will be full-temps who choose to get on the terms -they'll either have to buff up MBH, or nerf Jedi again.
If you are going to whine because they are too strong or that we BH's are too weak just watch the movies again or play any other Star Wars game that has jedi and realize that A Jedi Knight is a bad mutha and deserves respect when being fought. This game is supposed to be fun for both communities... if one community is singled out to always lose, expect that community to dissapear. Have fun comparing glowstick lengths with all your Jedi buds... you'll be the only ones left playing.
I hear through the grapevine that the names of the marks will soon be removed from the terminals. Its a start.....for its not the destination that matters, its the journey. And as a rebutal to my second idea let me clarify what it is that I meant. You should have to talk to more than one person to get a lock on your mark. Perhaps placing Spy-nets is a "lag hell" idea, but how about having to travel around the galaxy a little, talking to various people on different planets....asking questions, talking to underground contacts(i like someones add-on about Imp ST's or officers), but for heaven sake investigate the mark. This game is a MMORPG and there is no roleplaying involved at all. Its just mindless grinding, loot whoring till you get all the best equipment, and then...........nothing. that nothingness needs to be filled. There is a great vacuum in this game and I hope some attention is paid to it.

You know.. a lot of Jedi are former bounty hunters, and a lot of bounty hunters are aspiring Jedi.
