Thread: Energy vs. Kinetic Damage -- Which is better for Hunting Jedi?

OK, I've been shopping around for my 'end-game' pistol to slap my ADK on. I've found some sweet FWG5's and Scatters. But if my goal is to hunt Jedi with them, which is better- the FWG5 or the Scatter? I wasn't sure whether Energy or Kinetic damage was better for Jedi Hunting, and I figured you guys would know. Any tips?

Ah, well I'm glad I found that out, then. Can kinetic ones still be made now? Or are we stuck with energy until they fix it?

it's just the looted scope and maybe some other looted items doing the change of damage...anything crafted without looted parts won't be affected

People will say kinetic for the PSG, I say ifthey are worth anything they probablywont be wearing a PSG. More than likely they are wearing a suped up Belt with mods for their accuracy/speed (it's what I wear).

Besides, PSG's give little protection....not like the old system where it was just another layer of armor. So choose Kinetic if you had a choice but Energy is not really any different (IMO)

I think it was the extra accuracy bonuses on the Energy-based ones interested me... but it sounds like kinetic is the way to go.

Another question: Why do people use Kinetic-based scatters if the max damage is lower...is it just the increased wound chance?

if your using a pistol... 9 out of 10 times the jedi has aura and max damage means nothing... all about sac and min damage (IMHO)

What min damage and SAC should I aim for, if I'm using it as a BH?

i like featherweight FWG5s because they give +15 pistol accuracy, and have a max damage cap of 966, not 948 like the scatter

I'd say something between 350-400 (I've never seen a 400 min damage Scatter without a PU)for min damage and SAC, a good gun is definetly below 70. Cap is 65 and is what people suggest though.
