Thread: Strange NPC Mark Behaviour

I dont know if this is the norm but I thought I would post it here and find out. I just pulled a lvl 80 mission on a npc, did the droid thing and found him on dath inside the science outpost. As I was setting up to attack him the mark attacked a imperial combatant player. I opened up on the mark and got credit for the kill but the player looted him.

I was under the impression that npc marks were white con to all players except the bh that holds the mission on them. So, is this normal behaviour for a npc mark or is it a bug ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

It appears that factional alignment of the mark/player is causing the normally "white" marks to attack other players (sometimes even jedi, haha). I don't believe it's been proven, but that's the current suspicion.

I have noticed other factional npc's attacking my mark a few times, but didnt think to much about it. I guess if a combatant npc can attack or be attacked by a npc mark the same would ring true for player combatants.

I have had marks that spawned in cities currently under (either faction) and several of them would already be in combat with npc's (st's, rebel trooper). So it appears as though it is the faction tie in that is cause of the strange behavior, but this is just what i have experienced. I have not had any fighting any other faction other than rebel or imp.

Its proven, happend to me twice last night with two level 80 mobs right inside the city limits... I thought it was a play at first but then they sucked far worse then normal lol.
