Thread: Is healing crucial for a BH?

Well, my temp is: MBH/MR/0404 pistols and rest is put into ranged defense in enhanced reflexes. I have recently respeced to MBH/MR/4000CM and the rest into ehanced reflex ranged defense aswell. My plan is to switch back as soon as my 12 hour timer permits due to the following:


Less damage, less defense,no rootingand another extra pool to worry about. I hate to say this because chances are it will get me flamed, but I believe healing is a distraction, and as a rifleman, I shouldnt be getting hit anyways, and if I do, ruby and some stim Ds should hold up while I get out of range again. However, I just got back to the game about 5 nights ago after being gone for about 6 or 7 months. I respeced to MBH about 4 days ago. I've only managed to take out 1 jedi so far, and I hate to think it is because I don't have healing.


With the CM4000 template that I have now, it seems that I start out doing damage and end up trying to stay alive, lol. I find myself trying to get some distance without having a root, and spamming heals rather than doing damage. I have tried depending on a snare or a KD, but KD has a long 30 second timer befoe you can KD again and snare misses sometimes, and if they use force run, it is pretty much useless.


Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

ya healing is a must, if they can't out damage your healing they can't kill you.... and if it a jedi your fighting they will run out of force trying

Without healing you pretty much need to catch them with their pants down--in a big PvP battle, on the verge of losing a duel, fighting two Krayts at once...I learned my lesson after a few VERY quick trips to the cloner.

Healing is a absolute must. Without healing your going to have trouble with any jedi over 120K. And the way the boards are now your not going to find a jedi under 221K.

I was going to say something whitty and try and be funny but i got nothing tonight lol. But seriously, healing is a must right now but don't talk about too much cuz the jedi will get it nerfed and BH won't be able to become healers or some crap.

QFE! We will soon have to be master Entertainers and master shipwrights before we can become novice BH's before too long.

Let me guess, I picked out yet another colorful mission with a jedi that I'm expected to shoot and shoot until OOP! big shock, the jedi falls down and dies and my kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside

healing is nice, but even a 4000 CM can't out heal the damage on the Jedi I've been fighting. I've seen a nice bit of Jedi with 600+ damage sabers hitting me for 1k damage (with armor break) Granted I can heal that, but with their force speed on they hit hard and fast and just well, if they get in their ranged I'm dead.

that's with a pre-Cu saber. your average run-of-the-mill paddy wont have a saber that good. most they might get is like a 400 damage saber (mine is liek 250 )

but to the original poster i pwned a bh last night that didnt have any healing at all, not even novice medic. didnt even use a stim d but i think it would have only prolonged the inevetable.

I only use 1 standard stim D during the fight (but in 10 fights I have only been hit 2 times) , I have been succesful doing unorthodox attacks and dropping missions that did not favor me completely (I have 10 wins but also about 40 drops...no losses...only a matter of time before I lose obviously..). You can be succesful with any template , it just boils down to your playing style. I was told that MCH was a waste and I should drop it when I got my last MBH box. I could not bare to lose my pets after 2 years as that was my original profession.


My 69 level gaping spider hunter does 150 points of damage every few seconds (more on low level jedi), it is as good as dots , it can confuse the jedi (more than once I have seen a jedi go to my pet, change his mind and come to me, turn around again etc), also haivng an off the wall proffession allowed me at least once to get next to a jedi undetected (he told me after I killed him that he saw my MCH tag and ignored me).


Great PvP players will tell you healing is a must but my opinion is that you can be successful without it, I can prove that and I am not a great PvP player and had to figure it out another way.

I have yet to hunt jedi,just filled my invest tree.Is my Mmarks.Mrifle,Mbh,0300 pistoleer viable tempt to hunt jedi with?I do not like the idea of being a med class or dropping my Mmark,but want to kill jedi.
