Thread: Proton Carbine Help

All right so I'm trying to get this Proton Carbine from the Rryatt Trail. Talked to Carl Mosik and he gave me the quest to kill a Minstyngar in the Wroshyr Canopy and take a pristine horn. Well i'm in the wroshyr canopy and i've fought a ton of these Minstyngar thrashers and breeders. I even fought some named one, but I have yet to get a "pristine" horn, and I can't find a guide or walkthrough for this quest at all. Can anyone help me out?

you must just be unlucky lol i killed my first thrasher in the canopy and got the mission completed

1. You can't be in a group
2. Try the end of the canopy, I find that the last one drops the horn.

thats not true actually i got the mission completed while i was in a group...BUT my friend in the group didnt get it..so idk

Yeah just keep killing them, eventually it will drop. I remember it took me like an hour of killing them for it

Wow an hour of killing, I was very fortunate then to get mine in the first 5 minutes.

1st kill for me too. got it 100m or so from the entrance to that level.

lol As soon as I got to the third level of the Trail, I saw one right in front of me, killed it, and boom, quest done. Must be bad luck.

wow... you guys are lucky.... took me more than 3 hours of killing to get one... it spanned across like 4 days cus i would get too aggro to continue....
