... is a little unrealistic compared to chasing Jedi. Its been this way for a long time and I think they need to change a few things. Say I get an NPC mark on Dath and he's 7k away from the outpost. I start riding there and the whole time my droid is tracking he is not moving, then as I get close... ZAP!!!!, hes 2500m in another direction. All the BH know what I'm talking about too. This can never happen with a Jedi who is out in the open. If the Jedi is in a town it can but not out in the open. If my droid is tracking a jedi and he is moving they genreally can't go very far between updates, especially not 2000m. Does anyone else think this is a little unrealistic and stupid?

I don't mind chasing npc bounties and would actually like them to move about the planet but not in unrealistic fashions. I wouldn't even mind if marks would travel from city to city just like jedi to help keep me on my toes. I had one npc last night that warped from 5k out from the outpost back to the outpost in one droid update. I was excited cuz i thought the mark would warp off world so i raced back to catch him before he did. he was standing there waiting for me. but a jump in distance like that is annoying and unrealistic. I would just like to see the moving npc marks move about in a more realistic fashion like players do that all.

On a whining note though, its damn friggin annoying to arrive on endor, find a mark inthe top right corner and get 99% there and have him warp 5m back along your route

I think that its not the marks that are zapping around, there seem to be a problem with droids updating, it is actually possible to calculate the speed at which they move and so you can expect to meet them at a certain point

Yeah, I hate the speed they can move at, 4km further, come there, launch new droid, 2.5 km further, arrive at spot, LAKE< NOOOOOOOO -mission incomplete-

I don't know if it's still true but supposedly when the tracking droid first reports the position of the mark when you get on planet, the mark becomes "spooked" from seeing the droid and will begin to head towards a starport at a certain speed as if he was trying to escape off planet.

From this it is supposed to be possible to plot an intercept route on your bike, or travel to a shuttle port to cut him off from getting to the starport.

Not sure if this is the case anymore as my marks tend to move about randomly from waht I've seen.

This is how I think it is supposed to work cuz i've had marks get to a starport city and then my droid says they are off planet. I wish they would fix this to make the npc missions more like jedi missions. Its funto try and beat npc's and jedi to a shuttle and to a starport city. its add excitement and i wish we saw more of this excitement in npc missions
