Hey all!
I haven't been on my BH since July sometime, before pub 20 or 21, and noticed something interesting today. Just curious whether this was working as intended or a bug?
My mark was on Endor, 8000 m from the Smuggler's outpost (this was the original waypoint that I got from the Probe Droid). I sent up a tracking droid, and started out to the target. The tracking droid started sending me waypoint update information, and I noticed on my world map (CTRL-V) that the mark wasn't moving. However, when I got about 600 meters or so from the waypoint, the waypoint to the target suddenly jumped 3000 meters to the south. Now, this whole time that I was driving that 7400 meters the tracking droid was telling me that the mark hadn't moved.
So, is this the way it's supposed to work? I remember the last time that I played my BH you could sit in the star port and launch a seeker or 2 and actually watch the markmoving across the map as the seekers sent waypoint updates. Was there a change to this with pub 20 or 21, or do I have a bug? If it's a bug, any workarounds to get the seeker to update properly?
Thanks for the answers guys!

Yes it was an NPC mission (actually happened on all 5 NPC missions that I ran). So I'm guessing this is a bug?

That has been a known bug which has been reported to the devs numerous times.

Um actually waaaaaay back in the dawns of time there was an, about, 5 min timer added that started counting from the sec your probe droid tells you the planet. If you can get to the planet and to that way-point within 5 min (again roughly) your mark will be there. During that 5 mins or so your mark is still "moving" to the system and will update to appropriately if you dont make it in time.

Thanks Aristos, that info helps a bunch. With JTL it is quite possible to make it to a mark within 5 mins and save seekers.

Yep, if I arrivie on planet and the wp is under 3k from a starport I don't even bother sending out a seeker as most times I can make it there before the timer runs out. I've had marks start to move anywhere from 3-7mins after I get the planet and even some that didnt move for up to 15mins (when waiting for them to move over land or in from the map edge). As far as I can remember it was added becausewith 10 min shuttle waits+ the marks use to start moving as soon as you got the planet from your probe droid + mission's bug if the mark hops planets = alot of po'd BHer's. So to the OP I'd say this is working as intended.
