I'm trying to decide whether to acquire Marksmanship I or Stances and grips.

How effective is disarm shot?

Any suggestions as to the better skill would be appreciated.

Stances is a good one to start with. Disarming 1 isnt that great but 2 is a very good move.

Hi all.

First, let me run down my current skills:

Artisan:0-0-0-4

Scout: 3-0-4-0

Marksman: 0-4-0-4

Medic: 4-4-4-4

Pistoleer: 0-1-2-1

CM: 1-1-2-2

I have 4 skill points at this point. I just had to drop Explore 4 from the Scout tree in order to get my last skill. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. Since I am crafting stims and all, I want to keep Hunting as long as possible. I've also always thought I'd want to keep Survey, but now I think I should have dropped Survey 4 instead. I only have 5 lots for harvesting, which could go down to 3 if I place a couple more factories I have. I have friends who are willing to help me with waypoints to the stuff I need. Dropping Survey 4 would really only change the range of my surveying, which isn't a huge deal. The Explore tree is nice for the burst benefits and terrain negotiation (can't wait til they add that to CM - they are, right?).

So, would you keep the Explore tree over Survey tree? Thanks for your input.

Iwill keep the survey tree over the explore tree, as we should be getting a very nice terain negotiation boost in the next major push from TC

its really a matter of what you have available to you

you might want to keep scout in order to harvest your own meats.

I am part of a large PA with several scouts who can help supply me with meat, so i dont need it myself. Id rather be able survey and plant a harvester myself. You only really need novice artisan for that.

I got bored as hell of the pistol grind and like anyone else, I'm a big fan of the droids in the movies so I decided to become a DE. My question is which tree is most benficial to move up first? Do I go for more blueprints or focus on production & construction? Any and all help is appreciated.

Best thing is to get up to blueprints 2, that gives you the advanced frame (best grind item all the way to master)..

From there it varies a lot..

It really depends on what you plan on doing with your DE skills, and if you wish to reach Master DE or not.

As Kamaru said, the first thing you should do is reach Blueprints II if you plan on going to Master DE, since it allows you to start building advanced frames.. which gives more XP than grinding MSE's.

If, however, you don't intend on mastering the whole profession then are lots of combo's you can do, depending on what you wish to build as a DE...

If you wish to just build the frames to sell to people to place in their houses, go up the blueprings line and atelast refinement I (refinemt line gives you more colours to choose from when building chasis).

If you wish to build useful droids, reach blueprints III or IV, Production III and Construction II ... this will enable you to build surgical droids, level IV modules (which can be combined to make level VII) and allow you to build the two most used crafting stations.. general/droid/weapon and chem/food.

I do plan on getting Master... It might take me a while but that's my goal. Like I said, I got bored to tears from pistol. Plus who didn't laugh their asses off at 3PO and R2? So I'll start with blueprints but should I just go straight up blueprints before hitting anything else or mix it up a little?

It honestly depends on how you foresee running your business.

If you care about function, the first two lines will give you functional modules, while the last line gives nothing more than fancier boxes to put 'em in.

If you care about form, it's all about blueprints, but an advanced probot with dual level-1 armor modules is not exactly a combat-worthy droid.

I did this:

0002

1002

1102

1103

2103

2203 -- Got probots and began selling them with armor 3

2204 -- Got advanced probots at this point

3204 -- Got General Droid Socket Clusters, so my R2s became functional. I sell them fairly well.

3304 -- Armor level 4 modules achieved here. Stack two and you get max droid armor.

4304-- AHHHH, furniture crafting stations!

4314 -- Started working refinement, because armor 5 is only a semi-useful thing to me, but people LIKE having colored droid chassis.

4324 -- BLAST! Not nearly enough colors OR experimentation

4334 -- Here I am today, with nice colorful R4 chassis and two whole experimentation points.

200 thousand more xp and I'll make master. I'll PROBABLY go 4344 first, just for the color options.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

Thanks for the input. It is greatly appreciated. All I know is I'm not looking forward to grinding 48K worth of MSEs. Ah, well... Won't be as bad as 125K worth of nunas, kreetles, jawas, gorgs, wortts, bocatts, banthas & squills!
