Thread: 3rd faction ?
Aalob Alarios Originally there was supposed to be 3 factions. Imp - Reb - Hutt
They cut it down to 2 when they couldn't figure out the TEF system for the 3rd party. My whole guild at the time, TriCor, along witha LOT of other folks had PAs set up and plans to be Hutt.
Ohhhh the good ole days of broken promises and smashed dreams.....yet here I still am.

The Hutt faction was promised before Beta and never expanded on.
I've got my fingers crossed the 3rd Faction is actually Blacksun.
If you think about it, the Hutts aren't exactly evil whilst Blacksun is disliked equally by both the Rebellion and the Empire and had plans to topple the Emporer.
Also...can you imagine the faction armour for Blacksun ?

Thisgame is based on the SW universe , its onlytimed between Episode 5&6, we dont have to follow any timeline. Its our destiny, the devs have no real lore-based constrictions on content.

I'd prefer if they added many splinter third factions, fighting for control of the criminal underworld.
Hutts, Valarians, and Blacksun fighting eachother in open gang warfare.
Requirement for entry into the war: Smuggler or Bounty Hunter (the shady underworld scum professions). That necessarily leaves out full template and super-FRS jedi.
There is a big reason thiswill neverget implemented though: The fighting would be more intense, fun, and interesting than the stupid jedi-donimated GCW. The imperial and rebel factions would drain completely of normal professions overnight.

GET OUT MORE, READ SOME BOOKS, and REALIZE THAT THIS GAME ISN'T BASED SOLELY ON THE MOVIES! I mean, come on man... I don't care if you had a long day at work or not... if you did and you want something to say, make a thread saying how far off of the movies this game is!
