Because we all KNOW that Adv. Startle Shot / Disarming Shot, KD / Concussion, Chain Root, etc. is going to get nerfed blind: how do you think this template would do?
Template Skill Boxes:
BH 4400
Rifleman 4000
CM 4000
Jedi Defender 4400
24 Force Sensitive Skill Points (R/M Defense, R Acc/Speed, Luck, Vehicle)
Template Breakdown:
The Pros
With Investigation, you can Hunt Jedi (and Non-Playable Characters if you wanted to waste your time) and get a decent damage mitigate effect (Imp. Duelist Stance for +250 Defense).
With BH Weapons Training, you get a decent damage shot (Imp. Critical Shot) and an AOE that does OK damage too (Imp. Spray Shot)
Rifleman's Sniper Tree gives you good Ranged Accuracy, Improved Headshot as a damage special (Imp. Head Shot > Imp. Critical Shot) and you can use Sniper Shot if you really want it.
CM. Personally, I would have liked to go Doctor 4004 for the HoT (Health over Time, Bacta Infusion) two Imp. Single Heals (Imp. Bacta Shot and Jab) and the Self Buffs (Imp. Adrenal Boost is A-MAZ-ING). But with Three Heals like this (Bacta Shot, Adv. Toss/Spray) the healing will be great, especially since they revamped Doc/CM heals.
Jedi Defender: with just the first two trees, you don’t have to worry about more icons on your toolbar, you don’t have to deal with other Bounty Hunters attacking you since you arn't generating Visibility and you get some great Defense Mods (+90 R/M Defense).
You also get a Taunt ability, but this uses Force Power and thus will generate visibility over time. And with 4400 Defender you get +34 Jedi Innate Armour. This does not stack with any other armour, including Innate Teras Kasi Artist armour. But this allows you to stand a bit more damage if you took off your good armour and got jumped.
The 24 FS Skill boxes are needed to get Jedi, but using the same boxes that I have (CP 4400, EH 4440, HS 0004) you get better ranged speed, accuracy, ranged and melee defense, and once you try Force Vehicle Control, you never want to ride without it (faster acceleration, better way to chase your prey. NOTE: This will not make your vehicle faster; just increase your Turning Speed and your Acceleration)
{Jedi are paranoid of Bounty Hunters. I know because I have a Jedi and I always /target anyone I don’t know that is close to me on radar and /duel them (if you are able to duel someone, they are not able to attack you right out, but if you CAN’T duel someone, that means they already are able to attack you if they wanted). If a BH is there to get me, I jump on my bike and drive away, either going into space where no one can attack me, or going into my safe house to log out and get on my alt to play….
…but If a Jedi sees an other Jedi coming towards him, he might not be so tense, the other Jedi must be another leveling Padawan and wants to join his group…right?
Wrong! The Padawan is actually an undercover Bounty Hunter that has the above template, and it is “Lights Out” for mister “Lightsaber”. When you have gotten past the Padawan Trials, you get your Padawan Robe and you can construct your Lightsaber. Just as long as you don’t put on your Robes or activate your ‘Saber near any Non-Playable Character or Player Character (32m range minimum) you won’t generate visibility and won’t get hunted by your fellow Bounty Hunter. With your Padawan Robes as a disguise, you can meet Jedi on Dantooine without them running away from you and you can scout out Jedi on the Ryatt Trail, get their mission and come back for the kill. This adds a great role-play aspect for you, a Jedi-Jedi Killer.
The Cons
For one, I have not tried this template yet, I am planning on doing this with my other character on Shadowfire and keep my main Jedi on Chilastra, simply put, my main Jedi (i.e. I’ll go fully template and try to the FRS when it gets back on). My Shadowfire character is already Force Sensitive, so instead of putting that to waste, I’ll go and try this template, and I hopefully will get a second Character Slot.
I do not know what the Combat Level of this template character will be. I have no doubt that it will be 65+ but I cannot be sure if it is 80.
If Adv. Startle Shot / Disarming Shot, KD / Concussion, Chain Root, etc. does NOT get nerfed in the near future, then this template will not be as viable as templates that use the above combos / abilities.
You will not be able to wear a suit of full crafted armour without some hindrances. Jedi Innate Armour will be an alternative, but some players don’t like fighting without crafted armour. There is a work around to this: your defense is already high to begin with (see defense chart below), the additional boost that Imp. Duelist Stance gives your *should* be more than enough to mitigate any damage off of you.
There is a chance of Bounty Hunters attacking you if you activate a ‘Saber, equip your Padawan Robes or use Force powers (in this case: Imp. Dominate Mind which is a Taunt Ability) within 32m of any Non-Playable Character or Player Character. If you avoid doing this, you will not be able to be hunted by fellow Bounty Hunters.
The path to Jedi, heck even Force Sensitive, is long and hard. It takes about 18 weeks minimum for a Jedi unlock. This would be a hard template to have for a new player, so only folks that have been around a while could use this template.
***Insert other Con here*** There is probably a few more that I missed, but all in all, I think I did a good job with creating this template. If someone else has already thought of this, what can I say? Great minds think alike.
Comments about this? I would love to have feedback, I know I am not the best player in the galaxies, I need input and advice on a lot of what I do.

It wouldn't be level 80 and I dont think your rifle abilities would be that good to beat alot of jedi. The hardest thing with jedi is damaging them enough to take them out and I don't think this template...while hard to kill....would be able to deal the damage.

Indeed.
But with this you have two good-dencent attacks, Critical and Head Shot, and you have Spray Shot that does just as much, but risks you drawing agro from creatures. And those are basically your main damage attacks.
The Idea that I am trying to do here is that, with the right equipment (weapons/food) you could take them by supprise, or with through attrition (outlasting them).
With this you could also be a vital member of a group by dishing out heals and damage at your pleasure. This would not be as much of a damage output as a MBH/MRifles, but it should not be taken lightly in combat either.
Thank you for the insight, Nathanielstarr. And may I ask how you can tell what Combat Level a template will be, or did you just guesstimate?
P.S. The Title "Jedi Benedict" refers to the infamous Benedict Arnold that betrayed the USA when it was in its infancy. Now, I do not support B. Arnold, nor any traitor of the USA (especially this July 4th weekend). The title of this template simply refers to a Jedi betraying other Jedi.
And no, this template does not go sunnyside up =( (Breakfast joke, I'm hungry)

From what Ive read, CL is calculated from the combat skill boxes used, not from damage output ability or actual combat usefulness. Esp if your going for force sensitive skill points, since you'll get more p from higher lvl mob's.
On another note, I dont know if this has been fixed awhile ago or not, but in my initial foray into the FS forums theres a post on the fs skills, and it says the ranged defense and ranged accuracy trees are broken. If this is true, then the +12 on either is worthless.
