Hello. I am an old time player that has come back to do the respec to bh thing. Now before you flame me, please I ask your advice on killing jedi 180+k on the mission terms. Is this only something that can be done with a group? I havent tried bomb droids but how much damage does a 38 det mouse droid do against them? Also if anyone has had luck killing a 180+ jedi with master defender in their template please inform me what spec you are and what tactics you use. I am looking for some advice and would really appreciate your help.

Currently I am MBH/ MRM/ 4000 cm. I use a 474.dps laser rifle with 65 SAC cost after pu. 1.6 speed 1042 max damage. My armor is recon with 5000 melee/ 7000 energy with a psg of 1900. i have a crate of bomb droids but I have not tried using them. My last 3 fights with a master def spec jedi has been hitting them, when they dont block, for about 200 damage tops.and they can hit me for 1000. I use kd/ startleshot to delay them so they cant heal, which helps , but master def spec blocks ALOT of my shots.

Do I need to set startle shot as "default" attack and spam stun him? Do I need to use a r3 58 detonate droid? Do I need to use my respec again and go to MBH/MCM or some other template ? or can this NOT be done Solo and must be a group of people?

Any advice, you can give would help, thank you very much.

Nope.

I got taken out not too long ago and was around that price. I'm not going to tell you the BH's template because well, frankly, I don't want to help the enemy.

Im a full template with only defender 0040, its just as good as master if used right. But you can beat them. I do all the time with my MBH/MR/MC 4000.

The way the game is now, almost any Master template Jedi can be taken out...it comes down to three simple things:

1. Equipment - If you're gonna throw on a suit of comp armor and grab a basic laser rifle or pistol, don't expect to kill a Jedi just because you're a BH. Having the proper armor first is big, keep to recon if you can wear it, with no less than 7500 Energy resist would be best. Make sure you have a PSG as well. Now, some BH's can only wear battle or assault based on their template, so this becomes a little trickier, and you may want to get some custom made armor with higher focus into energy. Also, keep an array of weapons in your class, and in all honesty, when it comes to Jedi, you are better off using a weapon in your class that's fast and damaging but with Kinetic dmg instead of energy, as this will bypass a PSG the Jedi may be wearing.

2. Setting - Once you know where your target's general area is, you should try and scout it first. Don't just come flying in and jump off your speeder and expect the fight to be in your favor for element of surprise. Many Jedi hunt with one eye on the radar and have a safe house nearby. Full template Jedi's have earned their abilities through combat, so most of them aren't exactlly noobs ( most, not all...a whole other discussion). Try and take note of your target's immediate area, note houses nearby, and try and come at them from the direction a possible safehouse may be at, standing between them and sanctuary.

3. Tactics...MOST IMPORTANT!! - First thing in your tactics approach is foods and such. Know what you are gonna need and the duration of it, pick your foods carefully, experiment if unsure. Next, don't be quick on the trigger to just spam root and KD and your most powerful shot and think the Jedi is gonna lay down. Set up a PvP Jedi-hunting toolbar, know like the back of your hand which slots have what, keep your recovery skills easily accessible, and USE YOUR OTHER SPECIALS. Dizzy, Daze and Stun affects have a way of turning the tide. Disarm, and Delay shots make a huge difference. Lastly, when it comes to tactics, use your surroundings to your advantage. Hide behind houses and hills to get that few extra seconds to heal yourself. Lure your target to favorable terrain, and don't be affraid to go the distance. If the fight takes a few minutes, then it makes the rewards well earned....
