Currently a MBH/MCM/4000 rifles, having just dropped most of my rifles for CM.

My question is what would be the better armor for PvP, especially against Jedi? I know the energy resist has to be high, but would I be better off with battle armor now rather than recon?

Any help greatly appreciated.

What's the signature damage type for Jedi?

What armor protects the most against that damage type?

Right, but because I dropped MR I'm no longer fully mitigated for recon, which is why I ask.

Hi

Jedi do energy+ elemental damage, therefor you should go for Recon armour, either ubese if you are staying neutral og faction recon armour. Both types can be bought reasonably with +7k Energy resist. Good luck with it.

As cm you will have very good heals and you cant really afford to miss out on movement, accuracy and speed if you plan to be able to take down full template jedi.

I use padded armor instead with 6.5 energy res and it works ok for me. Ofc ubese would be ideal but im i need all the power i can get

That's my big gripe with the CU... armor mitigations were doled out for some imaginary "ideal group role" in PvE. Ignoring the fact that most ofPvEfightsand ALL PvP fights are against blaster wielders (energy) or lightsaber swingers (energy again...).\

I understand the reasoning behind the changes... and you CAN get around it by installing energy layers (or so I read, I'm no AS) that basically turn Assault into Battle into Recon... but at a MUCH higher cost.

And the stuff still decays as fast as the basic unlayered armor.
