I'm not sure how, but I drove back into the science outpost on Dath from placeing harvs. And this named NPC started attacking me. Thing had quite a bit of life and I did end up killing it. When I looted some sliceing stuff I realized it was a BH mission.

I was overt at the time, if that helps.

Has anyone else had this happen befor?

Yep, some of these new BH marks just have abad disposition. They'll attack anything around them when the mood hits, player or npc...

Yup, I encountered one with my alt, who was just CH at that time, outside the cantina in Nym's stronghold.
I didn't understand that it was a BH mark first, It had a white name-tag and looked like any other un-attackable NPC untill I got close to him, then it changed to red and he started attacking me.

Yeah it happens from time to time. One of my marks was in Ancorhead and was killed....i was combantant and a low level so there was no way for me to get to him without dieing....when all of a sudden i see and hear blaster fire going off near my mark.

Appently my mark was not liked by the Rebel gaurds and was killed. I get the message that Bounty complete and the money. Did not get loot but i got the Xp.

I've killed someone elses mark at the Dant MO. It happens from time to time I think.

This is working as intended. SOE has placed various BH marks to spawn at the MO to assassinate lvl 10's who stand around spamming "Looking for teh ubar Jeedai Spinz group!!!"

Seems almost like the marks have faction and so may attack a person based on their faction (I'm not talking just rebel/imp). I did notice running the invest 1&2 missions that they attacked city NPCs pretty much every time, whether it was Vreni Island (rebels), Bella Vista (stormies), or elsewhere. It seems like they don't attack creatures out in the wild, although I've only run a couple of these missions so far.

I've noticed that the marks will almost always attack any rebel within 60m.

Was anyone who had been attacked by these NPCs a rebel combatant?

I love it when boss marks agro or attack surrounding mobs all it does is help me. I had one attack some level 89 Black Sun guys on Dath. I joined the fight and got my mark. Then the Black Sun guys came after me lol. good thing I used my /loot all macro on the mark. I had one agro rebel commandos once. It took the edge off the boss mark a little bit. I even had one agro some rancors too. I always try to get the boss mark to agro other mobs so they will attack him too. its a good tactic to use if you do it right

Once about a month ago when the new loot thing first went live, I walked out of the doaba starport just in time to see my mark finishing off a level 40 player. After I killed it the guy who hadn't cloned yet asked me "what was that" and I told him "my mark"

I like this, kinda spices things up
