Ive not seen Stecoli hand out a flame yet on the board,
My opinion would be much the same. CH doesnt give you the skill mods and defense stats necesary to survive.
PVP A jedi only has to stasis your pet, one nice move and thats half your template gone.
PVE your marks are going to have upto 35k ham, they hit me, as a TK using COB +500 defense with ca's etc for a maximum of 600 damage (the real high enders). You might be able to use the template effecitively but it doesnt sound like an ideal one to me, you need to hand out big damage fast and tank big damage as well.
Try it by all means and let us know how it goes.
The problem is MBH by itself doesnt give you enough to take on your marks, I find the MBH side of my template pretty useless, its there mainly to give me access to the MBH content and missions. Are your pets enough to kill a 35k elite?

I think you and your pet would die pretty quick, maybe 10 seconds, 20 if you lucky
I think Stecoli has never played a CH with BH. With MBH + MCH, you have enough sp to also get 4000 CM and for PvE that combination has excellent dps, excellent healing, and decent debuffing capability (through pet specials). Basically you can take down marks as easily as the "common" MBH + MCM + 1 line of a weapon elite, just slightly quicker. The problem versus Jedi is that you are at a huge disadvantage once they kill your pet(s). Essentially you will run out of mind too quickly if you try to keep yourself and your pet(s) alive. There are some pets out there that, with the right abilities, can have 8k+ resists and some pretty heavy HAM, but still they are only 6-10 saberhits from death. Pets also can lower a Jedi's defenses (imperiling feight) which gives a BH some measure to actually land some damage on a defender. Being successful with MBH / MCH versus Jedi requires *very* specialized pets that have been tamed and levelled to their maximum ability.
In the end, MBH / MCH big disadvantage is that pet dps vs Jedi does not make up for the sp spent and your accuracy and defense suffer greatly. The other more obvious disadvantage of MCH is the need to call a pet *before* the fight, and we all know that with /duel the Jedi is going to have tons of time to prepare for you while you yourself get prepared. In all likelyhood, with this combination if you play it well, you will be able to take down any Jedi one time with some luck, but will never be a consistant threat to Jedi.
However, if you only last 20 seconds vs a Jedi with 4xxx CM, regardless of the rest of your template, you need some serious rethinking about your pvp ability.
Totally agree with your comment about MCH not giving the offense and defensive mods. As far as pets, if you group 3x CL23 pets with good damage and debuff abilities, you would be suprised at how much extra dps you can get. Against NPC marks it works well due to the fact that your pets only get hit with minor area attack damage. You basically can use your pets for all your state effects to include an armor break (not exactly the same as brawler armor break, but similar), KD, stun, blind, etc which when added up on an NPC actually have an effect on their dps output on you. Not only that, but pet specials cost you zero action and mind, so you can concentrate on pure damage and keeping yourself alive. Moderately buffed with decent armor and a PSG, MCH + MBH + 4000 CM can survive 35k elites.
