I took a bounty ona Jedi mark yesterday. I sent out my droids and he's on Talus way up in the Northwest.
I shuttle up there and see he's in a guildhall, but I can't target him, so I sit back and wait a couple of minutes.
After about ten minutes he comes running out and straight for me. I hit my KD but it doesn't stick. I hit my Stopping Shot but it doesn't stick either.
By this time he's already closed the distance and on top of me, but that's okay
because I always try to look at the bright side of things. At least this way I'll get close enough to put all my MCM states on him and then kite him. Boy was I wrong.
He gets in and I'm get put on my back..KD. Apparently he has no problem landing shots even with my Duelist Stance on. Oh well. I hit my KD Recovery button once. And I get my usual "cannot KD recovery while KD." I hit esc and hit it again, same thing.
I hit esc and KD Recovery again, same thing. I'm taking lots of damage so I hit my stim D and try it once more. I get up this time, but by then I'm too far gone to recover and he incaps me.
He doesn't DB me and I figure he's going to be merciful and let me go seeing as how he probably saw me flopping on the ground like a fish out of water, not being able to get up. I was just about to send him a tell saying thank you and that I wouldn't have been so merciful, but as soon as I get up he hits me and incaps me again.
I see what his game is and prepare myself. My timers is just about to run out and I start to get up. Expecting the same thing I just get up this time and paralyze him(lucky that one stuck), then healed and put some states on him and I run. He seems to want to chase me so he's right behind me. He gives chase for about 15 minutes and I notice there is someone watching( a fellow MBH). The Jedi is constantly throwing his saber since I am out of his range and he keeps hitting me with his root. He gets up close plenty of times while I'm KD'd and Rooted and goes to town on me.
I manage to escape plenty and barely scrape out but this Jedi seems really intent on catching me. One time he is at least 100m out and I pull my BARC out to escape, but apparrently he wasn't as far out as it said, because next thing I know is he's on top of me and going to town on my BARC while I was rooted on top of it.
I saw the MBH that was watching say "I can't believe you haven't run out of force yet" I guess from all the saber throws this guys was doing, plus his roots and whatever. I don't know what specials Jedi have and I have no idea what they cost to use them, but trust me I got KD'd and Rooted alot. I was running out of mind and was preparing myself for the inevitable death that was to come but something miraculous happened. At 35m I hit him with stopping shot and it stuck. All the while I took him running through the mountains since I figured I probably would have better Terrain Negotiation than him and could probably escape easier. I get those extra few meters I needed and whip out my extra swoop, then zoom out of there.
I notice towards the end he must have been running low on force or something, because I was able to damage him and his mind was running out. Once you get traumatize and deterium toss on them they start to think twice about chasing you I guess.
I meet up with the MBH at the Imperial Outpost and he asks me how I made it out. I told him the story and he just laughed. He said I put up a pretty good fight and it looked pretty even. I imagine I probably could have gotten him if I had taken note of what his mind and health pools were doing there at the end, but I counted myself lucky this time, damn KD bug, and yes it does exist. I just wanted to get out of there alive.

Great story. I haven't experienced that KD bug yet but I've only battled a couple of jedi. It's interesting to know how long a fight takes before a jedi will run out of force and mind. I wish there was a way to tell that.

tbh when he didnt db u the first time is probably becuase their is a bug sometimes when u hit the db option that for some reason cancels the db and you have to hit it again. by the time you do this the opponent can be back up and running away. thats why jedi run a db macro during the fight to avoid this. I know, it cost me two kills before the macro was suggested to me.

I wonder about Force too. For instance how much a Jedi has and how quickly he burns it. I've been in 15 minutefights where the Jedi will do nothing but saber throw and root. I keep hearing BHs say to stay alive so the Jedi burns through his Force. I don't know how long it takes or if it depends on the template but man, I've had some long fights with a jedi spamming specials.

Oh and this is the part that I explained to the MBH at the Imperial outpost that really made him laugh. Maybe it's not that funny, but when I saw him running at me he was a a CL80 and his tag said Jedi Padawan.
For a second I though "great, shouldn't be too tough!" but then something clicked in those few seconds he was running at me "would a Jedi Padawan be a CL80?" maybe, I don't know. But would a Jedi Padawan come running out to meet a certain death? I guess I could've run, but I needed more practice and was curious to see how I would do. Well that and two seconds later I got KD'd.

all recent full templates are stuck at padawan until the FRS opens back up.

you only need half a jedi template to be CL80.. i was a CL80 jedi Weaponsmith template for a while - the master WS tag really through alot of BH off...

It takes the jedi just 113 SP to achieve lvl 80, remember that when a Jedi trys to tell you they arent more powerful for 113 SP they get CL 80 MD 255 RD 235 compare that to your 121 SP Cl 55 MBH with 85 and 95 respectively.
