Any of you remember anyone who made a special impact on your Galaxies gameplay. It could have been someone who trained you, or showed you the ropes or helped you level in rank, or just tipped you 100k in game to get going. This thread si a thank you to all those player helpers that help keep the noobs having a good time, like we all were at one time or another.

My thank you is to Mot' Irujam.

About a year ago he was asking for a duel in coronet for anyone and offering a lot of money to anyone who could beat him. I had just mastered my first elite prof, fencer, but really didn't know anything about combat still. Not as much as I though I knew. Well needless to say he beat me in about 2 hits. Even though I was prepared for the loss ( I didn't duel to much and knew I would clam up when the fight started) it opened my eyes to how much I didn't know. Thanks to Mot I leveled up in my mind, cause I was able to start to understand this thing I'd payed 15 dollars a month for for almost a year at the time a bit better, lol

I had a guy I was showing the ropes and i had him watch the fight so he could see that all I could do with a single mastery was still the tip of the iceberg at the time and that the game still had levels and things to learn for a long time.

So how about the rest of you guys, anyone you want to say thanks to, whether or not they are still in the game, this thread is a just to honor their contribution to you and your game experience

Dear Alliance to Restore the Old Republic,
Please stop fighting against my wishes. I chose to become an Empire over what I was at the time. Now I have brought stability to the galaxy, and gotten rid of most of my stupid old traditions that I picked up from when I was young. I love the work I've done.
Truly yours,
The Old Republic

Great idea, my thanks go to Cronolith of Eclipse Server who tipped me 5k and directed me to Coronet Mall to buy weapons crafted by Khayden Epic, also thanks to Khayden (even though I know he quit) for crafting all those great weapons and selling them at affordable prices, I'd never have mastered marksman or BH without EPIC weapons.

Cheers guys, you ruled.

In my opinion there is alot of complaining on all these forums. So I hope this one gives everyone something else to talk about for a bit at least.

Helper of noobs, who was forgotten by every single one of them.

I cant remember how many times I went grinding with novice markmen/scouts and tons of other would be bounty hunters.

One time I was strolling through Mos Eisley cantina (pre-CU). I see a naked wookie nov marksmanand a humannovice marksman. They were having a discussion about why entertainers were afk and if they were useful for anything. I explained about afk entertainers, mind buffs, and buffs in general. I offered them to come with me and I would let them grind. Then I explained the concept of grinding, what it was, and the best way to do it. There wasnt enough of us for dant, and I didnt want to get them killed while playing their first couple of hours in the game. A we pass a doctor on the way to the mission terminals and I ask him if he could give the noobs and I buffs. I gladly pay for the buffs, they werent anything special though, but enough for teh nooblets. We get womp rat missions and head out. Luckily they both had their starter vehicles. After a bunch of lairs I asked them what they wanted to be. The wook said he wanted to be a bounty hunter and the human said he wanted to be Boba Fett. LOL I told him about mando armor and all and explained some more stuff then after the crappy buffs wore out they had to rest. I gave them some synthsteak and brandy for future fights. The wookie thanked me but the human just asked questions. When we were done resting the wook said he had to go and I tipped him 60k and then he thanked me and pulled out his speeder and left. The human and I finished off some skycks int he area and then he asks me if im rich. I say that I got around 900k. He cant even fathom that amount but I tell him its not much. Then he asks me for 400k, and I'm like "uh sorry but I can give you 100k and thats about good enough for an ok weapon and some used armor that will keep you alive. Then he responed " No, I need really good armor" I was getting kinda annoyed by his ungreatfulness and started to explain how askin for so much money from someone who doesnt have that much is pretty rude. He apologizes and I end up tippin him 150k. He thanks me and then tells me how badly he had to go cuz his mom was yelling at him LOL. He left but I know he was just gonna go find some place to waste all his money. /sigh never saw or heard from those noobs again.

I would like to thank Lucas McCoy from wanderhome (no longer playing).

I have been a novice BH since almost two weeks after launch off and on. I went into crafting profs inorder to make my own armor, clothes, houses etc. I excelled at marketing and was a fair crafter and enjoyed it very much, but I could never entirely give up on being a BH. And though my PvE skills where fair my PvP was pretty much worthless. Wellover a year ago I decided to go full blast into BH and gave up crafting. Lucas brought me into his collection of friends and helped teach me how to be a real BH and helped me get MBH / SL 3/3/4/4.

I have a jedi kill count of currently 38, about 25 of them Knights/full temp (after CU) and I've learned how to adapt with all the changes and have become a fair hunter and am able to more than support myself on my BH career.

I do not beleive that I would be the BH that I am today if it hadn't been for Lucas' guidance.

Thanks man where ever you are.

I want to thank Exeter, that while I wasn't a total newb, he introduced me to bounty hunting, and gave me a de-10 when I became master pistoleer.

Many jedi fell to that gun.

I know all you guys didn't pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Take a minute to think about where you are and where you've been and who helped you get there and acknowledge them. It helps to vent, but it also help to get thanks.

Heres my list:

Cam (Where to start? I can't think of anything that I every needed that Cam has not offered to me)

Tamit (Nicest vehicle dealer, and a great leader too)

Kusanagi (Bleh)

Berik (LEEEERRRROOOOYY!!!! and Tank)

Desric (Friend and Benefactor)

Diable (Kind, funny and XP friendly)

Jenha (Beta/Initate/padawan buddy)

Spankee (Thanks for the heals & the inspration. You do the Jedi order honor and you need to have a padawan to pass on your knowledge)

I know there are a great deal more, I can see toon faces and the kind things they have done.

The Combat Medics that gave us mind disease while we were painfully working on Dancer or Musician... on and on. I do not play this game to pay SOE or to enjoy Star Wars, I play this game to get to share time with wonderful people.
