Thread: Until the Producers decide otherwise, Kashyyyk stays how it is...
Julio Torres: The planet Kashyyyk was designed for most part as an adventure planet with a directed experience for everyone to enjoy. The current plan is to keep this planet a quested story-driven planet for all of our players. There are no current plans to change the status of the Jedi there. Please keep in mind that no one can "live" in Kashyyyk -- we are not allowing houses to be built there. Everyone eventually will have to leave the planet and expose themselves to the other planets of the universe, where there is plenty of tension between Jedi and Bounty Hunters.
Julio, if you boldly claim that Kashyyyk is a quested story driven planet for all players, why are jedi still grinding there with ease. Do you not realise that your general players that are actually doing the quested stories, cant even kill the needed wookies due to spawn camping by a large number of the jedi population. Turn off XP on this story-driven planet or at least lower the level of some creatures so it will no longer be a safe haven for jedi grinding. Do you realise how many jedi dont even have to leave the planet as you say?? Most leave when they have a finished template. This is a joke.
Whats BS is that anyone not a Jedi dont want jedi to be able to lvl at all
I was a oldschool BH before beign Jedi and my alt is a BH
And I can tell you there is VIS on kash first off feral Wookies are npc's they drop credits(very small amount btw)
so they cause vis every one I know of that has been there be it 3 hours or 3 weeks is on the terminals
but at the same time what is not fair yo you all beliveign that a profession that we pay for with monthly fee's and months of work shold not be able to lvl to
full template just like the othere professions we have a just as much a right to lvl as anyone else its 5 times harder to start with .
so until you play both ends of the feild and know what your talkign about from all views stop complaining

Actually, 2 or 3 publishes ago, when they increased the level of the webweaver trail, they also added wookiee spawns on the bridges, in locations other than those used for jedi grinding

You are missing the point in all this frustration. Jedi in the next publish will not be able to be located by a BH on Kash since they wont get the name. This means that they can stay on Kashyyyk as long as they can stand it, AFK or ATK and get XP. As a BH I dont intend to cause jedi XP loss, I think they should have a fair chance at it like everyone else. I agree with the penalty though as part of the game mechanic. I simply hunt jedi for the fun of it and a little money on the side. The fast respawn rate on Kash is also a problem which is akin to the 0,0 Endor bug, the Geon labs, and other broken spawns that have been exploited.I dont think turning off XP on Kash is the answer either. It is an adventure planet and we go there for fun, but XP is just another reward for working hard on a quest or mission, whether you are desperate for it or not. That would hurt too many normal players. Removing group vis was a good move by the devs and will help jedi immensely. The whole problem with Kashyyyk is that it seems to be intentionally bypassing the very system the devs put in place to keep jedi rare.
Do you honestly believe that the DEVS care? No. Do you see them doing something about it? No. I have lost my faith with SOE and the devs, but my love for starwars grows stronger everyday.

BS! I jedi friend of mine is out there all the time. Last time he was out there for a full week straight! They take with them enough food/drink and whatevers. If they need something they call on their friends.
Publish 20 just makes it plain as day that the devs dont care anymore. Before, I admit that I suspected that the devs only really cared about Jedi, but i wasnt sure until this new publish. Now its obvious that the devs plan to cater to Jedi to entice new players to take it up, and make a fortune off of them with the long grinds required. Theres no other good reason for these changes...and now, the whole system is a complete mess.Obviously the devs did this to help the Jedi, because I cant see what other issues there were that warrented this change. Therfore, I dont see them changing Kashyyyk.
Shame, because its quite obvious that the devs could care less about all the non-Jedi in this game. Look at the smugglers. The Jedi have had two publishes and already have another FRS on the way, and the devs havent even begun to think about how to allow smugglers to do as their name implies. And the smugglers have had issues since this game was released...I wish I could see a dev defend that.
