Thread: Cant do much damm to jedi ?

I am a Master rifleman/ Master BH/ pistol/medic. I tried a few jedi today for the 1st time and with my 1100 dam laser rifle on a crit shot special I hit for 230pts, he hit me for 1100 pts, ranged shot hit for 89 pts. Needless to say I got schooled. I even tried a duel with a jedi friend and I could bearly scratch him and ranout of action before I could seriously hurt him and he was not fighting back, Am I bugged or am i missing something? Please help

Judging from your numbers you were fighting a Master Defender or at least a Defender 444x. You cant really do enough damage on your own to get the quick kill by taking away their health, you need to wear down their Force so their Aura / Force Infusion macros dont have Force to work anymore, then their health becomes vulnerable.
With your template, you shouldnt ever get within 32m of a Jedi or you will be dead meat if he has Master LS. More than likely your opponent was a Master Defender / Master Lightsaber / some other stuff FotM template. The disadvantage of their template is either lacking mobility and crowd control or lacking Force regeneration - you should be able to kite them for a pretty long time.

Some very good advice and my clone can vouch for the wiseness of staying out of range. The jedi also might have had a pre-cu saber because that's a lot of damage being dealt.
