7000+energy resist armor and sliced for 75% armor break reduction--start with that then work on foods, stims and your weapon

7k resist? why mess with that stuff? What you need is either Tantel Or Ubese. It can be layered for 8k Energy resist. Then get your 75% Armor Break. Make sure the armor you buy has 3 or 4 sockets per piece so that you can maximize your SEA's.

But the best advice anyone can give you as far as armor,is buy ADK's! You are going to spend a lot of time in the cloner the first few weeks/months until you learn the temp. So you can either waste all your credits on buying suit after suit as well as losing the SEA's or You can adk it all and then work on those skillz.

*Edit- After I wrote this I realized you said you had a Carbine which would make you a Carbineer, which means no Recon armor for you lol my bad

I sucked when I started (both times - pre-cu and post-cu) but practice makes perfect :d

All recon armor can be 8k i thought

BTW you dont need 8k, I use 6k battle and Im fine

and if you buy a 200-300k set of battle armor, you dont really need to ADK it since it should last long enough, and its cheap anyways if/when it breaks

Those are the only recons except for factional recons. Anyway, yes you can use other armor, but why? If you wanna kill Jedi, then it only makes sense to use the best tools available to you to do it, right? I know weapon preference plays into it, but if you are a rifleman, then recon armor with the 8k Energy resist layer is the best tool available. It would be like using a CDEF with a max DMG of 800 when there are ALR's out there with max dmg of 1185. YEah you can probably kill a few Jedi with the CDEF, but why use it when tehre is something better out there.

Get your cash from you BH ncp marks that you do CA or AA sell good on the forums
Try even to spam the starports with buying macros even offering a good price for your self and them

I got 2 adks in 4 days but that was because i looted nice ca and aa of my ncp marks
If you grind first by doing your ncp marks to get loot the hunt jedi when your loaded up with good armour etc etc
That what i did now i have adk gun, ris suit

There's also mabari, as a recon option, its got the arms built in to the chest. Also, don't forget Kash Ceremonial andIth Guardian are the options for our Wookie and Ithorian buddies needing recon. All t
