Thread: Another feel good Stopping Shot story...why I won't leave home without it.

There are 2 distinct camps that I have seen , one favors the high damage output attacks that the rifleman and carbineer profession offer the BH, the other prefers the root in the 4th tree of Pistoleer.


It is my opinion that the stopping shot used properly is one of the most versatile tactical weapons in the BH arsenal.


I have rooted a Jedi in the middle of a rancor lair at the right moment (a full temp) , even admitted by the Jedi after the battle, it was the only way I could have gotten him. I have rooted another jedi as he attempts to get on his bike to run , he freezes right at the correct moment , can't heal or attack on the bike , he goes down. Used defensively it is equally spectacular, a Jedi roots me, I root him (you can feel the wind come out of their sails). Also it is a great escape move...more than a few times the Jedi has popped a crystal or a holocron and there is no way my mind will last. Stopping shot followed by a jog and a hop on the bike always does the trick and keeps me alive.


But tonight as I scored my 30th kill, it was my very favorite use of the attack, the battle was going back and forth and towards the end I hit stopping shot and back away, the jedi gets a last hit in and I mange to pour torso, adv crti, torso , adv crit, with the dots laid on him it was curtains, stopping shot absolutely rules.

yeah mbh/mcarb/0020 medic/0004(3? cant remember) pistols


but I never can seem to use stopping shot effectivly, and was thinking of dropping it and grinding out 0004 cm untill this post.


If you root them on a bike, dont they get off the bike? Can they dismount? What if you kd them first? Does that take them off the bike (so they can heal)?


Btw: whats the command for alarm you got there ?

I rooted him on bike and he just froze, he died next to it (see 172K kill pic).


The Duelist macro is great (adds +250 to defense) :

/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist



Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:


/dump
/deathblow

ahh i was wondering about that i need to put an alarm in foir underhand shot also so i know when the 30 secs is up

i dont like dulist macro costs a round of combat when u might be runnign for your life

You could always just remove the /macro bit. Having a underhand shot macro to tell you when the kd is up is great too. KD isnt meant to be used every 30 secs though...only for situations where you need to heal/stop him from running/etc.

Akast ! Good to hear from you, I am glad we are on speaking terms (LOL) sorry about not explaning the /dump better bro.


Out of my 30 kills 29 have been Rebel jedi , but I just went neutral and will start hunting either side. I got my first IMP a few nights ago. The reason I went neutral is cause the Reb jedi's we're all kinda doing the same thing and sure enough as soon as I hunted IMP I ended up battling in Jabba's palace which was a cool change of pace from Dant, Dath, Talus. I really wuld like to join the under dog side . The Rebels tell me they are the underdogs and the Imperials say the same thing. I am not sure what to do, any help appreciated.

I find that knockdown increases critical shot damage and lets me get another shot in too.
