Nothing is going to stop it. Why do you think SOE is putting it in?

Here put this together...

Look at the adds, a huge selling point is being a jedi.

Add in the fact that tracking droids dont work on kashyk....so jedi can hunt thier without reprise or fear.

Add the fact jedi whine when they die even though they knew darn well it was part of the class...

Add the fact that the ability to go to kashyk costs 25 dollars.

Now they have tons of people buying the game, and NEEDING kashyk to grind.

And dont get me started on the village phases. This is simply so that people who wanna be jedi have to stay in the game for a certain amount of time, So SOE is gauranteed a decent amount of cash from their average player who gets the game to become a jedi.

The real exploit is going to be rebel jedi paddys going imp, and imp jedi paddys going reb.

BH is imp. He then pulls a rebel mission. Only to find his mark is rebel, but, in a known imp guild. And so drops it and finds another.

Jedi paddys tend to use all exploits they can (and I dont nessesarly blaim them, they lose xp, I dont). And this will happen.

Doesnt bother a knight hunter such as myself. But all the paddy hunters on here will not like this.

BH would kill him. Why would you let a Rebel infiltrator live? Same goes for the other example of the Imp paddy in a rebel guild.

Personally, I wouldn't care. If you're the opposing faction for whatever reason, you're fair game.

what is stopping a jedi from logging out and back in every 5 or so mins to lose the bh? it would give the "your target has gone offline" and the bh would drop the mission, the jedi would log back on and repeat again in 5-10 mins, while the bh slumps back to kaadra empty handed. i suppose this would only work for the first few days, until all bh learn to hold the mission for a few more mins after the jedi logs, but still.

Because now you have their name and can put them on your friends list while you hunt them. They can't sneak back onling now but they will be able to later.

ya and the point being all it is is an irritation. Pub 20 hasnt been released but im pretty sure at some point you'll get the name of the jedi. even now are you telling me that if a jedi disconnects randomly for periods of say 5-30 minutes you are going to bother waiting around? If so I applaud your tenacity- most BH won't when they could just pick another mission and move on.

The original poster makes a very good point. All a Jedi needs to do to disrupt the droids is logout for about five minutes. The droid will report to the bounty hunter that the Jedi is offline. Since the bounty hunter doesn't know the Jedi's name, he cannot add the Jedi to his friends list and will not know when the Jedi is back online. What's he supposed to do in the meantime? Send out a probe droid every 5 minutes thenwait for it to update for another 5 minutes? Then rinse and repeat?

This is another legitimate concern about the anonymized Jedi mission design that the devs need to be made aware of.

Of course, this is assuming that the Jedi will remain anonymous up until the point you see him. It makes much more sense to have the informant tell you the Jedi's name upon receipt of the bio-signature. The Devs stated goal of doing away with the gank squads will still work this way since it will take A LOT of time to grab a random Jedi mission that doesn't show the level of the Jedi, and run to the informant to get the name/biosig. It's very difficult for bounty hunters to get the same mission on a Jedi now as it is. If they made it so that the informant gives you the name it will be increasingly difficult.

What they also should do is remove the informants that are near BH terminals and make bounty hunters go to a different city to visit the informant. This will virtually assure that bounty hunters will not be able to synchronize missions since it adds another 5 or so minutes to get the biosig at a different location.

thats great and all, but it robs you from killing jedi who deserve it, it also robs you from ganging up on jedi.

Im sorry,i dont care what you say, until jedi are only as powerful as any other regular class, you should be encouraged to gang up on them. Who wouldnt bring friends to go kill a jedi? Would you go fist fight bruce lee alone? No you wouldnt.

Thier is a simple solution to jedis problems they just ignore.

DONT USE POWERS IN PUBLIC.

Thier, no more problems.

But thier are some jedi who just abuse thier powers...i saw a jedi duel someone for fun in the middle of town in front of stormtroopers who should be attacking him, but could care less.

I might be happy with these changes if all NPCs KOS a jedi who uses a power within 30m of them. Because thats how it should be, especially from the stormtroopers who work for the emperor who wants all jedi dead. And dont tell me imp jedi exist....they dont. And even if thier were sucha thing as imp jedi, doesnt matter. Look at how many of his own men Darth Vader killed. I think he would be all for people slaughtering anyone who poses a threat to him.

I really think taking names out of the mission terminals is dumb. If you get them from the bio sig guy, its not so bad, but you shouldnt move the one in kadara. Having to take a random mission, run to him, get the name, see if its the one you want, then run back could take FOREVER. And you really need to hate someone to do that.

But for people who ruin the universe known as star wars by being crappy jedi (like some dude on my server named snapcracklepop and his club of people who chill in theed blowing force powers) i think you should get the name.

Another benefit of knowing the name is not getting missions on your friends. Or guildmates, or similar situations.

Because youll spend all that time hunting someone down for nothing...or for something but then someone you know is going to hate you.

what is stopping a jedi from logging out and back in every 5 or so mins to lose the bh? it would give the "your target has gone offline" and the bh would drop the mission, the jedi would log back on and repeat again in 5-10 mins, while the bh slumps back to kaadra empty handed. i suppose this would only work for the first few days, until all bh learn to hold the mission for a few more mins after the jedi logs, but still.
