Does anyone know forcertain when,if ever, the Jedi's name will be revealed to the BH?
The assumption that has motivated discussion on this board today is that the Jedi name won't be revealed until the BH finds the Jedi and initiates combat with them, yet this is completely unsupported by the patch notes. All that is known for certain is that the Jedi name won't be revealed on the terminals, evidently as a means of addressing the behavior of certain BH's who have used the terminals in a detrimental way when selecting their marks. This doesn't mean that the Jedi's name will remain unknown to the BH until the last conceivable moment. There are many instances between the moment the BH accepts the mission until he first spots the Jedi that the Jedi's identity could be revealed, starting with the moment the mission is first accepted. The assumption has been for the worst, that this will occur at the last possible moment, but it is equally likely that it will occur the moment the BH has the mission entry appear on his datapad.
Itremains unclear one way or another if the Jedi's name will be revealed once the mission is accepted or after the bioscan is complete. If so, then the complaints about not being able to target Jedi for combat, not being able to determine if Jedi are online, and not being able to exclude a Jedi based on friendship or guild agreements are irrelevant.
Since no one has been able to answer how this will work exactly, so that people will now exactly what it is that they are complaining about, then much of the discussion that has occurred on this subject has been unwarranted.

no one knows until it actually hits TC. My understanding was that it should hit TC today so depending on when it hits we will find out.

Nope, no one knows. So yes, much of the discussion (or more like complaints) on this topic have been unwarranted. We should know soon enough. It just kills me though to watch my fellow BH's bring joy to jedi hearts everywhere by falling apart over changes we know nothing about yet.

Looks like they delayed the TC update til tomorrow. Guess we'll have more word then when the testers can relay some information on it.

Today's patch notes have still not answered this basic question. As far as can be determined, Jedi names may be revealed the instant a BH accepts the mission, from the Spynet Op, or during bioscan.
Does anyone have any solid information about this that isn't an assumption?
