Thread: I dont like these changes (from a jedi's perspective)

I dont like these changes at all. I like to thinkI have a decent reputation amongst BH on my server. I get the same 3-4 BH that take my mission each week or two. Its quite fun for both of us even though I win everytime. I always tip them 250k after for the effort and respect to take a full template mission solo.
Those guys keep coming for me because its a challenge they knowI wont back down and run from. I can't imagine its going to be any fun for them now knowing that their next mark might flee the second they see them coming.
Other problems I see are same faction hunts and even guildies...I wouldnt be surprised to hear a guildmate attack another just because he's irritated from hunting for hours only to have to drop it each time because the target is considered friendly to his faction or guild.
From what I understand, these changes were done to prevent BH from so-called harrassing Jedi by repeatedly taking their mission or the 5 man gank squads. They could have avoided these issues by a simple timer or limit group to 2-3 BH.
Overall I dont like these changes at all. I want the thrill of a 2-3 man group coming for me (yes I stay and fight those odds too). I want my name on those terms so BH that know me and respect me will take up the challenge. The only thing I can think of for why SOE made these changes is to take the focus away from BH vs. Jedi and maybe shift it towards the GCW. Although lately that seems like a dead end idea as most new players arent even aware we're at war...

Also, i think this will possibly discourage those new BH from jedi missions. If a new BH who's inexperienced at PvP takes a fully templated 1+ years experience Jedi, well what chance do they have. They'll walk away from it with a bad taste in their mouth.
I wont be suprised to see many new faces come for me the first few weeks after this publish hits. Then I suspect i wont see a BH for weeks and weeks.

My alt is a well known Droid engineer who runs a mall specializing in BH gear so I tend to follow the BH forums. While I respect your opinion, I thought my point valid and might interest BH.
And to be honest, I prefer sharing my opinions here as majority of BH tend to be mature while my fellow jedi tend to be idiots.

There was a post somewhere stating that the mark on term will read Rebel Jedi, Imperial Jedi or Neutral Jedi. If true, that goes a long way in saving time for BH's who don't hunt same faction, in fact, a convienience over the current system of having to go find out.
Limiting it to 2-3 bounties per Jedi is probably not ideal as it makes it easier to get alts and guildmates to hold the missions to keep the Jedi off the terms. With the MBH only changes, however, perhaps that would become less of a concern.

Naw thats not it at all. These guys are total pvp junkies and hunt for the thrill of it. They are in essence true bounty hunters. They live for the chase. They tend to get frustrated by Kashyyyk, house deed drops near lairs, and the old run to water tricks...I dont run so they come for me.
The credits is just my way of showing respect. They're in same boat Im in, havent worried about credits since 2003 so the credits matter little.

Hmm, I forgot players do that kinda junk. I can see SOE's situation is difficult because players always seem to find short-cuts with stuff like that. If its not called an exploit it should be cause it sure defeats the spirit of the concept.

Gank Squads wasnt really the problem..There nothing wrong with BHs grouping on Missions...
What was wrong was the Missions and Vis not clearing apon a completed mission and Jedi being Forced to group to gain mass amouts of XP as'well as VIS..
You know if they would give a bonus for Jedi grinding alone away from Groups, Citys & Mission Terms..Not as much XP as a group but, a common middle ground where a Jedi could gain decent XP and not forced into groups by, hunting Wild Spawns..Then there would be less VIS and Less Jedi in the open...If they did this and Jedi still wanted the Faster track then they are begging tobe hunted...
I fear with this comming update they have just opened the flood gates for Jedi..
Damn, We need some kind of a Story Line to follow

He makes a valid point here, and I don't see anywhere on the forums that you have to be strictly bh to post on the bh forums.

just chatted with one of my BH friends....his guild is disbanding and many are quitting over this publish. They tend to group a lot and after 20 this wont be possible. The odds of two of them pulling the same mission is extremely remote now.
