My Experiences an actual in game event (yes the combat is real) and yes the character does exist

I relinquished my ranking as a Jedi knight when I became disillusioned with the Jedi council and all of its political bumbling. Now I have been outcast by the powers that be and I find myself loathing those that expelled me. To quell my rage I have become the hunter, hunting those that once called me brother.

As a Master of the Bounty Hunter trade I scroll through the terminal looking for a mark, a mark I subsequently located on Dantooine.

I immediately cloak using my force powers and travel to the mining outpost and dispatch my first seeker. My data pad is updated; the mark is still at the same location. Using the power of the force I then run to the location whilst still cloaked and see my prey attacking a lair. Excellent, I sense him channelling and see his health dropping. Whilst cloaked I activate my healing infusion and Improved force speed, eat my foods and inject some Pixie. I then adopt a prone position about 65m away and line up my target in the sights of my Laser rifle. As his health ebbs to approximately 1500 I let loose with a Underhand shot quickly followed up with a critical and a ranged. In the space of 2 seconds the Jedi is on his back health ebbing at 100 and he’s healing fast. I then run in using the power of the force, my cloak now broken. Hitting his mind with a mind blast and then rooting him in spot with a force suppression technique.

It’s at this time that all hell breaks loose I’m about to let off another critical combo, the death blow for my mark when it happens. From behind me I hear the ring of gunshots followed by me landing on my back, more Bounty hunters have now come for me. I quickly cloak and force run off my quarry also runs to a nearby house. He is lucky he survives this battle.

Myself on the other hand have more immediate problems, 3 hunters have turned up for my bounty and I’m now running at full speed under cloak to the mining outpost in order to board my vessel. The first hunter is now gaining on me at a great rate of speed on the back of a swoop bike, I turn and unload into the bike quickly disabling it and then continue running and I then re-cloak when able. The other two hunters are following but I manage to make it to the outpost and launch to another planet.

I am safe for the moment whilst I seek my next mark.....

Several hours later I reamerge, still under cloak, to the Bounty Hunter Terminal in Kadaraa. Once again I scroll through the listings and find a 160k mark. Once again I launch my droids and find the Jedi siting in the Theed Cantina, busily conversing with some dancers blissfully unaware I’m standing 30m away from him taking my foods. I decide to quickly duck into a back room and power up with Improved Force Speed, and Aura, and for good measure I adopt an improved duellist stance for that extra defensive advantage.

Then whilst he’s chatting away I strike with a Force Suppression followed by underhand shot and then critical and eye shot. The Jedi drops like a sack of spuds as I run out the front door and hit my pixie. Jedi follows and I see him healing up again. Bam I snare him with force wave and then combo through ranged shot and critical shot from about 60m away. At this stage I’m still force running so he can’t catch me.

All is going well and I am running backwards popping off as he chases me past the space port and then I fall into the river (Noob!), too busy looking backwards I forget about the water and end up swimming across with him still following. On the other side I get smacked about as I regain myself and I quickly re-cloak and channel my force and reapply foods etc. The Jedi feeling confident runs after me for about a kilometre and then asks if he can pay me! At this time he is only 35 m away so I hit him with another suppression and start comboing again. After 3 minutes I incap just as I hit my improved infusion. I’m immediately up again and I use the force to heal back to 2k health and start smashing the Jedi again opening with a suppression which roots him then running out to 40m I go prone and launch a torrid volley of critical - ranged -critical, all these land in the space of 2-3 seconds and the jedi is incapacitated. I then run over for the deathblow, mission accomplished, a good fight and it seems no other Bounty Hunters have found me, I then race home to plan my next assault

Your story is why player bounties are sooooooo needed in SWG. being attack as soon as you just killed your mark for the very same reasons you shot your mark is just irony The only problum is syphoning out the players who dont want to be forced into PvP and those that do. there are lots of ideas out there on how to do it, but IMO player bounties need to be linked to the GCW in some form. but to make the player bounties work there the GCW really needs to be heavily expanded.
