Someone proposed this in another thread, and I thought it was so important it deserved it's own.
BHs rely on first strike ability. And if reports are correct, we won't know if we're going against a fully templated Jedi or a noob. And FRS will be back soon.
So what can balance it out? Photos. Tracking droids should send a small photograph to the Bounty Hunter upon each track. During the hunt, a window can be accessed or can sit on your HUD that shows the image. It's not full screen, and just shows the Jedi and what's around him. If the Jedi is not out in the open, it shows the exterior of the house or of the cave enterance where he is.
Think about it -- we have the technology to track people around entire planets in seconds, but not to transfer back a small picture?
Discuss.

This would require the server to send you the information for not only the area you are in, but where your target is (ie what they are doing, surroundings, other people).
Wouldn't this create alot of lag??

The game does a very low quality screenshot of the Jedi from 3rd person perspective, without everything (for example, only a certain range around the Jedi).
It would probably take less bandwidth than a few screen refreshes.

Interesting idea...but....
- If the BH receives that information "too soon", complete with Knight robes and titles, bottom-feeding might rear its ugly head once again
- If the BH receives the information "too late", why prioritize resources to program this? You can do a drive-by and target / examine to learn everything you need.

Alright, to correct those issues... only sends the snapshot on the first "track" of a droid. That is, both Arakyds and Seekers.

Brilliant idea. I'm sure the Jedi will be standing around waiting for Mr. BH's second drive-by pass.

"Why did that guy drive up and look at me specifically while I'm grinding in the middle of nowhere on Dantooine? I guess he must be lost. Now he's leaving. Now he came back and he's getting off his bike. I wonder how much that Scatter Pistol cost him-- hey!!"

Hehe...well, with high terrain negotiation (what you get as a BH, plus BE clothes, plus tapes, plus travel biscuits) you can crawlreasonably fast...and some will be able to do so invisible since I expect Master Rifleman is going to be a popular BH template...either that, or just drive by casually (not directly over the mark), without stopping, inside a closed vehicle driven by your helper....

Are you smoking crack?
Dude, the Devs just took away names and payouts. While at the same time removing Jedi vis. Droids don't work on Kashyyyk, FRS is coming back....and you expect them to put THIS in the game....
WOW! I'm sure this sounded like a great idea with clouds of smoke around you, snacking on Twinkies...NEVER (YES, that's an absolute) going to happen!
I think this ends the discussion.
