Hmm, I just got mad owned by a Jedi (my fault, wasn't quick enough on the button pushing

), and noticed something.

After I got KD'd, I got hit twice for over 1000 damage each time. when I scroll back in the log, my armor stopped none of it. I've never noticed this before, is this normal?

There is a bonus on the damage done when your target has been knockdown.

well my armor did not block the damage at all... it went a bit like this:

You have been knocked down

Jedi attacks DaiTengu with Advanced Saber Throw using Lightsaber and hits for 1093points (882 points of energy damage and 211 points of electical damage).

You cannot placed shot while knocked down

Jedi attacks DaiTengu withImproved SaberBody Hitusing Lightsaber and hits for 1213points (1002 points of energy damage and 211 points of electical damage).

You cannot Critical Shot while knocked down.

Jedi attacks DaiTengu with Advanced Saber Throw using Lightsaber and hits for558 damage (449 points of energy damage and109 points of electical damage). DaiTengu's armor absorbed 712 points out of 1270 possible points of damage.

EDIT: just realized after the last hit, that my armor blocked, It happened once more. That was the blow that incapp'd me.

pre-CU I think damage when KD'd multiplies at3x

I'm not sure what the increase is this time though, but it's still pretty high. Thats why they say not to use any uber specials with high warmup timers or a zipbar. You want to take advantage of a KD and hit him as many times and as fast as you can.

er, yeah .. that's all fine and dandy, I know that damage is higher after KD.

take a look at my 2nd post though, why isn't my armor absorbing any damage?

yeah I saw your second post after I posted. I had the reply window up for a bit while someone irl was chatting me up =P

I can't explain why your attack went through your armor. Um. Maybe it was ginsu knives or something..

nope, no cybernetics at all. my armor is 8106 energy, 75% AB sliced. it's in quite good condition.

ok, this is wierd

I just zoomed in on myself. apparently I'm not wearing my chestplate (even though it's highlighted in my inventory). I un-equipped everything, and re-equipped it, so it's all showing up now.

This past weekend I got KD and was saber throw for 2k damage with no damage absorbed. Even with 7k energy battle armor with a 75% ab slice. I was getting hit for 900-1k damage every attack. Fight only lasted 2min with me running for the hills the whole time. Lets say I got ticked and logged after that.

Ok guys if you are not aware there is a thread on the smugglers forum for this. People have brought this to their attention and they are testing it. Some people are register their tests and find out some armor works and some specific pieces dont work. So if you want to get your armor fixed i say you might want to go here and provide some feedback.

Unequip and reequip your armor, I was wearing full armor but I equipped them while riding on the swoop and had a SL test his stuff on me and did straight damage without my armor resisting it a few times. Other than that, dunno, unless you aren't wearing a FULL suit.
