Thread: DEV'S PLEASE READ
To the Dev's
I am writing this in the hopes it will get viewed. Because of the recent developmentwith the Holocron release I felt the need to write to you.
I would like to offer an alternative to the apprent method of becoming a Jedi. To make is as fair as possible for everyone willing to become a Jedi and not just the combat class(Which is the only one apparently capable of getting a holocron) you should make it about XP amounts and content. When a player reaches a pre-assigned XP amount, over the amount it takes to master an elite profession(You would still need to calculate maxed skills XP), you would provide a player with an email. In that email would be content missions that would be need to be completed to open the FS slot. It can be as varied and as difficult and as time consuming as you wanted. That player can then get his/her friends involved to help complete these tasks. This createsan atmosphere of working together and of a challenge. Now I'm sure that some people will not be very happy with this but I feel it would accomplish what you want in the long run and enable everyone including Dancer's, Chef's, and other non-combat class to obtain Jedi staus. The amount of XP can be different based upon Elite Master Profession. Also, it will keep our Master Weaponsmiths and Doctors around to keep us in good shape as far as their respective professions go.
I will remain a Bounty Hunter reguardless of what you decide. I do not want to get owned by new players in PVP. I just hope that after 1 year of playing you open my FS slot.

First of all....merchants CAN get holos... They should use a thing called Credits and buy them. What the heck else are you going to do with the millions of creds you get...
And did I actually just see a BOUNTY HUNTER just cry nerf because they do not want to get owned in PVP?
Please tell me I'm dreaming.
No I did not cry nerf. I stated that I do not want to give up BH because of a holocron. If I ended up having to give up BH to be some non-combat class because the holcron told me too I would be owned by newbs.

uhm...not that I like the Holocron biz but....
well....
1)how much are you going to be playing your original character once you open your Jedi slot?
2) If you do think you will be playing your original character much even after you have opened your slot, what is preventing you from going back after those skills?
If your concern is PvP, I'm pretty sure you're Jedi won't get owned by newbs. and part of the fun of leveling is obtaining your next goal, so going back after your BH skills, while time consuming, is still fun.

I appreciate your comments. Your right I will not use my character much if I open the FS slot. but what about while I am chasing "the Dream". If anypart of this quest means combat then I will have a problem in completing it. I dunno what to say. I just wanted to put my 1.87567365726 cents into the mix
