I have just recently started playing SWG again. The reason I came back is I want to become a Jedi. I read these boards every night I work (and lemme tell ya I have alot of time to read them). All I see is a bunch of noob Bounty Hunters and Jedi crying about this and that. Now since I am Nutreul party all you are probably gonna be like$^FU NOOB. I have been thinking bout this for a few day and here goes.


Jedi from what i understand loose xp based on the amount of credits they are worth. So a 225k Bounty is 225k xp. For there first box they can train in after novice they are need 200k xp. They can loose 1.125% xp from a successful mission. Why not have something also set up like this for bounty hunters? At Investigation III you would geta max of 3000BHTP (Bounty Hunter Terminal Points) Investigation IIII you would get 6000 BHTP At Master Bounty hunter You would get 12000 BHTP.These PointsWould allow you to get Jedi Missions.They wouldnt be spent but they would be lost if youwhere Dbedby the Jedi you where hunting. You could also gain them by succesfullyDbing a Jedi.


I would say these would also go of the CL. If you where aCL60Paddie andthe BH was lvl 80 they would not get there full BHTP. They would loose 2.25 % per lvl All missions would be worth what they are now and 1000 BHTP when a BH dropped Below0 BHTP they could not Hunt Jedi until they in positive standing by doing NPC missions which I think should be worth 250 BHTP. A system like this would slow dabblers down and it would fix all of the /respec BHs.


If I failed any aspect of my job at anytime my employer would frown on me and I would have to work harder to get back in there good graces that is what this would be like. Pls add more to this I think an idea like this would put content into the game. A system like this could not be exploited in my opinion easily.

CL 80 BH CL 80 Jedi Bh looses -1000 BHTP BH wins +1000 BHTP

CL 80 BH CL 60 Paddie Bh looses -2000 BHTP BH wins +500 BHTP




I hate Auctions they take to long and to poor for buyouts

Now, you'll get the jedi saying yes to this. They want to see BH punished for hunting them and causing xp loss.


The bounty hunters, While misunderstood, Would say that the jedi are being punished for getting on the terminals.


Its their fault for showing off their powers... they shouldn't do it. End of story.


The life of a jedi should be hard. the reward? getting to become a pvp ruining knight.

I understand that the terms are punishment for BH. You think if a BH went back to Jabba or the Empire and said sorry my mark got me couldn't complete the job you would be in favorable standing? I think some of the older BH's might like this considering theres alot of /respec BH's making them look even worse then they are!

hi guys


*This is not meant as a Flame to anyone, just want to voice some ideas to help try sort it out*


I'm finding the BH Vs Jedi/Jedi Vs BHHate getting a little old and boring. i know that lots of people want some sort of solution to this. here are my ideas (i know some of these have been said before, but i think they are good ideas)


Jedi

1) Let Jedi (same faction only) hunt in groups of 2 with out getting Vis.

2) Jedi dont get Vis from Guild mates.

3) Jedi not to get Vis from faction members (not sure if NPC or player, heard agruements for both)

3) Light and Dark Jedi give vis to each other.

4) Jedi XP not to go in into -XP.

5) If jedi kills the BH the jedi is off the term for a pre-set time (IE 5days for Paddie 10days for a Knight)


Smuggler (all the smugglers i've spoken to want to be hunted)

1) Add Smugglers on to the terms.

2) Smugglers get Vis from Slicing and making Spice in public areas.

3) Give smugglers missions from NPC's.


Faction

1) make spec op players huntable. (as they already are setfor PvP) needs more thougth


BH

1) BH to have some Penalty for failing mission. (maybe having to pay the Bounty for that mission)



Idea for Smuggler/BH mission.


Smuggler goes to NPC to take a mission (mini quest) the misison would last say 20-40minutes (Ground and space). As soon as the Smuggler takes the mission his/her name goes on the BH Terms. Cat and mouse chase begins. The smuggler would have to go to a series of waypoints (in both ground and space) to deliver and pick up items, once they have the parts needed they have craft or slice the item, then deliver it to another NPC. This is not just limited to one world, in this time the BH can hunt down their smuggler mark.


i've had other ideas but they need a little bit more work on them. so do these really but thought i'd share my idea.

To start, this is not a postcrying nerf, or meant to be a flame of any kind. I am personally tired of the constant whining so I decided to post my ideas about Jedi and Bounty Hunters in the future.


First, with the FRS hopefully being restored, many jedi will become more powerful than they are at this time. This will most likely prove very difficult for BH's, seeing how many have problems already. Many BH's would like to see names back on the terms so I had an idea to make Bounty Hunting a little more fun, and feasible with the upcoming FRS(as I said before, hopefully). The devs could add a BH ranking system as well, and I think this has already been brought up before. I though a tab could be added to the BH terminals just for full template jedi, with names and rewards included. This would allow group hunting once again, and for BH to choose who they go after. As jedi gain ranks the amount of BH's that can have their bounty shoud go up, and the reward should rise as well. To make it a bit more fun, let the bounty go up even more if few BH's have that bounty. Say a group of 5 get a Master's bounty, the reward should be much less than if a single bounty hunter had the bounty on that jedi, due to difficulty level being much higher.


I know this post was not very well written, I just wanted to give a rough idea of my thoughts. I welcome any thoughts, and would like to know if anyone agrees with me.
