Thread: On the whole permadeath, BH/Jedi hate fest......
it's more or less similar to a ferrari without an engine, it looks awesome but it doesn't function like it should.
If permadeath were to come back, take jedi back to what it used to be in strength, make prems drop, and fix a whole bunch of bugs involved in BH Encounters...
but Jedi isn't going to revert to it's old strength, sorry.

Isn't this a bit paradox, reading your previous lines?
A Jedi with a middle-quality saber is pretty much dead in any PvP. And only a few percent of pre-CU Jedi has nearly perfect sabers - and they can be beaten by a BH knowing what to do with the skills.
So, what was this about this "food-chain"-thingy?

But then again, if you were not an Ebayed Jedi you would know this, huh?

Yeah I know that......but I'm saying every combat class should have a ranking system above the master box in which you become eligible for permadeath, like I said....we are playing an RPG.
Permadeath is just a horrible Idea
Which is why it was taken out

Sure if he is ill prepared for battle he can very well die.. on one condition, if he sticks around to fight. Fact of the matter is Jedi have the best ESCAPE tools in game.

True, we have Force Run and Cloak... But in the matter of fact, I never ran away from a battle, no matter if win or lose. I never ran away, even if I had absolutely no chance (got a BH on me while fighting with a krayt, and my force pool was at 50%) I like good fights, and also like to discuss the fight after, the only way I see to learn and correct my mistakes.
And no, I didn't ebayed my jedi, nor did I fightclubbed ever, I'm not even full template. (I'm a pre-CU jedi btw) I don't have premium pearls in my saber, tho I have it ADK-ed. I just want to play a fair game, with no flaming and trash-talking. And, luckily, I had very good BHs after me so far, even some who rezzed me after dbing, and chatting around for half an hour, and leave as a friend.
It is just a game after all, and no matter what profession the other has, until they are good people.

Or maybe he/she is not making template assumptions. The astromech figures did tell us however that cloak and M enhancer are far from common and these would be the best escape skills in the game (stasis being almost identical to the CM skill). A M def, MLS Healer 4xx4 has no escape skills and they need not be ebayed is what I am getting at.
So yes jedi has the abilty to choose these skills but calling someone an ebay then assuming all jedi have these skills is a bit harsh.

I don't know if its when an influx of new Bh/Jedi that come or what but these posts keep coming up........and always will.
I havn't played this game forever but I am from pre CU (my post register date has nothing to do with my game time). I remember when I saw a jedi, it was cool.....made me envious, but I still wanted my BH. I hear people saying the game is gone, too many jedi. Well there's too many BH's as well.
Going to theed to see jedi PvPing and 2 or 3 uncloak and gank an overt player that shows up is kinda, well dumb. It's funny when someone proposes a solution BH or Jedi......next response you see is yeah right blah blah blah. Well that response is usually coming from the, sorry guys, "younger" Jedi/BH population that doesnt want there character toyed with.
Some of these posts have valid points that we'll never see. I do agree with some things. One of them is permadeath, not just for Jedi, but for any "Alpha" class. It's a game people, and above all it's an RPG......role playing, you should die in such games. If you don't want to die, don't play RPG's.
I think if SOE instated a system like FRS for ALL combat classes, once you enter that class after x ammount of kills ur character is gone and you start back at say ur master box.
I've seen way too many posts on this so I'm just throwing in my nerfbat into the mix. And no I don't have my jedi yet, I recently started going for it. To all those jedi who will read this and say, "Ha Ha no way, I worked so hard".....well you chose to, and so have I now. I don't mind losing my character, it's an RPG.......play it like one.

The current state of jedi isn't really an alpha class....
it's all about the quality of sabres. Old school Jedi who had the fortune of looting perfect pearls with uber ADK'ed Sabres are indeed alpha. It's like any profession.Equip a BH with literally 100's of millions worth of gear and skill tapes but let himonly usethe now junk Laser Carbine.. he won't be effective in battle.
Fact of the matter is, Jedi with or without uber sabres will always be at the top of the food chain when compared to the original 30 professions.
