What to do when your mark just isn't there... This is happening a lot more today than normal... I guess it's just bad luck, but is there anything I can do to prevent it?

wait until your waypoint is updated by your seeker. And keep heading in the direction you were going before you got to the waypoint. Marks move, they know you are after them.
