You don't really need to out-do healing. The trick is just to keep them healing(sucks mind bar/force), healing until they run out of force and have to start channeling (which also sucks up action/mind bar). You can't completely count on outlasting their force pools since they could have a holo ready to drop, but you get their mind bar down to nothing and they cant heal no matter how much force they have. Likewise they cannot KD recover with no action. There are little tricks here and there that will decide the outcome of these meetings, just get more practice - even if it is just getting a full temp to duel you for practice.
If you can beat a prepared Jedi that knows you're there, then you will have an easier time on the unsuspecting.

Has anyone used this template for jedi hunting and if so how was it? I was thinking imp crip shot and imp leg shot would be nice to work in with BH specials.
I am this template and love it. Problem is, if you catch a jedi that is really good at managing his force, you are in for a fight. I can take down a full template jedi, but it does take a long time.

Yep,
I thought that was the key to laying out J3di. Running out the mind. Other than the combat debuffs that was my interest in CM. Gimping their mind and action. The healing will be nice and I don't plan on be in range much ![]()
Think I will hunt up a great carbine or twoand givethem a nice slice before I adjust my template.

I don't know. I tried it and I could never seem to squeeze enough damage out of my carbines to out-do healing... which is why I took Rifles 4000 rather than carbines 0400
thats why you traumatize and make them keep healign until their mind dies
When they're aware of my presence, I can't get that stuff to stick without getting myself beat up in the process... and with the "You cannot KD recover while KD'ed" bug, getting up close and personal with a Jedi can be bad.

The only problem I've found with stuff like traumatize, thyriod rupture, and electrolyte drain is the fact that I have to be up close and personal to use it. The only time I've ever gotten any of those to work effectively without the Jedi KD'ing me and crap is in a city scenario or when they're too busy with a lair or mob to notice me at first.

That's why you've got Paralyze. You can Paralyze them, apply two of your debuffs and make a run for it before the paralyze wears off.Later whenever they get close you can paralyze again and lay on the other debuffs.

Sweet jesus... genius!
Lol, actually, I never even thought about that... god I'm retarded. Still feeling out MCM. Thanks for the tip.
The only thing I see that would render that tactic useless is the DOT's. I could do it at the start, but when the states finally wear off and I had a DOT on them, the tick of the DOT would break paralyze.
I used to be MBH MRM CM 4000 but wanted a change as I had been a MRM for what seemed like years.
I swapped and regrinded a few weeks back and I haven't looked back since.
True it doesn't have the uber front end damage that you get with rifles, but I can survive against even the best Jedi 1v1 for at 5-10 minutes now, pretty much gauranteed.
When they KD me I use a stim, get up and paralyse + debuff.
When they root i paralyse or KD
Always have electrolyte drain on as it is an awesome snare
The ability to de-buff regen rates is so cool, the way to win with this template is to run the opponents mind and force down, then they are not so hard to kill.
On top of this you can have 2 dots running at 300 dmg every 6 seconds, really helps in draining the mind and force.
The hardest part is the initial survival, I know Jedi who can incap some BH in 3 hits. Get a good AB slice and some good battle armor and you should be sorted. A nice carbine helps too, and you dont have to pay the earth to get one. I use a Max Dmg sliced Proton Carbine that is easily attainable from a quest on the Rryatt Trail
