Thread: So, you now want teh L3WT!!!
So you respec'd to MBH and *now* you want L3WT!
First, buy a crate of seeker droids and probe droids. You can find them listed via the bazaar or via a vendor search. Single probes/seekers will be found under Misc, Generic Item, and Arakyd Probe Droid/Seeker Droid. Crates of probes/seekers will be found under Misc, Factory Crates, Arakyd Probe Droid/Seeker Droid.
Next report to the Bounty Hunter Mission Terminal in Dearic, Talus. You can find it at 265, -3070 right in front of the cloner. Double Click the terminal, put the missions in order by pricetag by clicking on "Payment" up top. Select the highest paying mission UNDER 32,000 credits. Anything above this is a jedi. You may only have one bounty mission at a time.
Head around the corner to 256, -3024 and speak to the Spynet Operative here. He'll backtalk you some after giving you a "bio-signature." Which you can't find anywhere on your person, so don't look for it.
Hop on your bike and ride out of town. Keep riding until you see the message "You have left Dearic," which should be across the river from town (or 300m due south of the Dearic sign). Once you see that message, put your bike in park and open your inventory. Select your probe droid and choose "Request Probe Droid" from the radial menu. While you're waiting on the droid, make sure your overhead map is on (CTRL+M) and zoomed all the way out (CTRL+MOUSE-SCROLL). Around 20 seconds after launching the probe droid will land. You'll see a white dot on the overhead map marking its location. Usually within 125m of you. Ride over to him and select "Transmit bio-signature" on his radial menu. Watch him go...looks cool the first couple times.
Now ride straight to the ship terminal in the Dearic Starport. Stand next to the terminal. Grab a buff from the AFK BuffBots sitting on the couches. You'll soon see a message that says, "Your target has been located on XXXXXX." Where XXXXX is the planet name you can find the mark on. Fly to the aforementioned planet. When you get to said planet you'll have a mission waypoint to the mark. If the mark is MORE than 1k from you open your inventory, select your Seeker droid, and hit "Track Bounty Target" on the radial menu.
Now if the mark is more than 1k out, open up your planetary map and see which starport or shuttleport is closest to the mark. Shuttle or JTL yourself to that location. Once you arrive, pull out your vehicle and make tracks in the direction of the waypoint. You'll get an updated waypoint about every 20 seconds on where the mark is. Pay attention to the messages you get from the droid. Eventually you'll see, "Your probe droid has lost track of your target." You will need to launch another droid at this point. Launch unless you can actually *target* your mark, no matter how close you think you are.
Take a moment to make absolutely certain you have the "Con" option enabled on your radar. Look at your radar. In the upper left hand corner of your radar you will see a box labeled "Con." Make certain that box is checked. Your mark will be easy to see on radar, since it will be a yellow dot with a bright yellow circle around it.
Once you arrive at the waypoint your mark will be NEARBY. Not standing in the orange triangle...but NEARBY. If you are standing on the waypoint and you don't see the mark, look around a bit. You will find it within 250m of where you are standing, usually within 60m or so. If the mark is nowhere to be found. Wait for your next droid update and see if the waypoint moves. If it moves, head over there.
Target the mark and commit murder for hire. This is not a guide about how to kill the mark. If you can't manage that on your own you don't deserve the title.
A very good friend of mine posted some statistics. Let me give them to you...
Out of 100 Marks run,
2 were white and non-attackable
2 marks spawned inside of structures
2 marks went "mission incomplete" due to water
94 missions with no complaints.
From all 100 marks 1 set of "Advanced Weapon Scopes" 8 loot, 2 sets of "Advanced Weapon Stocks" in 7 loot and 8 loot stacks. A total of 19 Bounty Hunter Armor schematics were recovered. There were also 12 attachments found. Ten clothing, two armor ranging from +4-12.

If you see that your mark is going to be over water, Don't Approach. Pull off to the side of the water and wait.
I had a mark spawn over the sea between Tyrena and Coronet the other day. I decided to stay back more than 300m and let him keep moving until he made landfall then I swooped in and killed him.
I know that if you are in a hurry it may be faster not to wait, but if you hate to delete a mark, then you can wait it out.

Good sound advice Talen, and it works great..
The original post talked about my hunting results over the past couple of days. To be honest, the first mission I didn't Ctrl+V to look and see if he was over water, that was completely my fault. The second one I waited for about two mins to see if he would move and he did not. He was on the other side of some water, so I figured he'd hold still. As soon as I got to 100m he bounced out into the lake and I got a mission incomplete. ![]()
I usually try and wait while over water, but was one of the things (as I'm sure there are many) that DW and I forgot to mention in the original post.
As a side note, this type of problem we listed as a "bug" in BH missions, but this problem effects all missions. For those that aren't used to seeing it try running any type of mission around a lot of water (Southern Naboo?) and you'll get all kinds of "Mission Incomplete's".. This is a general mission bug, not exactly a BH mission bug but still, it's a bug none the less.
Several people in my PA grabbed nov BH just for this.
Nice work SOE, no plus at all to actually being a Master yet again, if anything it actually hurts, Nov BH are far more efficient looters.
