Do these work now? They used to make your droids slower, but I have been away from the game for awhile so I dont know if they got fixed. Thank you.

They fixed these sometime last year, I think shortly before they removed Master Scout as a requirement for BH.
So yes, they work now, and give you faster droid tracking.

Every +10 you have in Tapes gives you a +2 Seconds of Tracking Speed. It takes a Master Bounty Hunter 60 seconds to initiate tracking and mission waypoints are updated every 20 seconds for 6 minutes.

so....I guess I never really thought about this...but...
if you cut your tracking time down...I know your getting initial track in say 58 seconds is good...but when it cuts it down to 18 secs....do you lose time on that 6 mins?....say you only then have 5.4 mins of tracking before have to send new one?

That depends, is Droid Efficiency(i think the skill is) based on time or a number of updates? I think its number of updates, so speed would simply make the time between updates lessen. Thus youd get less time, the same ammount of updates, and faster updates.
