Thread: Best fight I've had...and proof that a Master Defender is not impossible
. I found my mark in a starport waiting for a shuttle. I eat/drink my usuall foods and even though I won't be able to use range as a tactic near the ticket colllector I hit him with a Adv Crit, Head Shot, Undershot combo. The circle dance started from there. I knew I was facing a Master Defender after about 20 seconds into the fight. The first 10 minutes we were both strong. I had a patern goingof doing knockdown, adv crit, head shot, Oh CRAP CRAP!knockdown recovery spam, BactaShot self, etc. My health never got below half. After the 10 minute mark my mando wine was gone and Ihad no room in my stomache. Now it started to get a bit more tense. My health started going down to the 1/3 mark. I had a few really close calls. One time I went down to like 50 health fighting the "Cannot knockdown recovery while knocked down" bug, but was able to stim & bactashot quickly enough to survive. Even with a SAC PuP on my HLR i had to use ranged shot every few shots due to no action. I went into my backpack and popped some spice (booster) and kept spamming my mando wine waiting until I wasn't so full (cursing to myself for drinking the pyro early on). I kept thinking "Is this guy's force EVER going to run out" and hoping he didn't have a backpack full of holos. My mind and action were toast. I didn't think I'd have enough mind to heal each time I was close to death. At least twice a Underhandshot saved me from incap for just enough time to regen some mind to heal. After what had to be 20 minutes of non stop fighting, both of us went into spice down and I was finally able to drink another mando wine. This gave me just enough edge. His mind was done and after 5 more minutes I got my incap. I stood there too tired and shocked to type in /deathblow fast enough (i know i should have a macro lol). .My template is MBH/MRM/CM4000. Also what make makes a huge difference is my equipment too. I have:
Krayt HLR (461 - 1130 DMG, +40 elemental dmg, 83 SAC, 1.36 mod speed and, 17 Acc bonus, 612 Mod DPS without PuP)
rebel recon w/ 7830 energy resist with a tantel helmet same stats... couldn't do the marine helmet lol and a 2300 energy resist PSG
lots of mods (have totals of +25 General Ranged acc, +25 Rifle Acc, +25 Rifle Def, +25 Ranged Def, +25 Melee Def, and more.
And an inventory full of food, stims, and PuPs
It IS possible, depending on what the defender does, if he goes all out offense on you, he's going to lose in the end because he isn't using his template properly.

a) try channel in the midway - and get some food for your mind regen. it's always your mind that kills u, not your force pool;
b) click burst run and follow + adv sabre throw + adv armor break + sap (bhs never stand still to fight, they need to keep a distance. When they run, they are far less accurate with their weapon)
c) keep on spamming blind + dizzy + stun - forget about bleed and more importantly - forget dervish
d) adv infusion - valor - aura a must (macro it!)
e) make up your mind to run or fight in the first 10 secs............ hesitation means death
f) get a holo - it's not that expensive or useful nowadays. I got a dozen with me all the time.
1. With Valor & Aura up, you don't need to channel since your force will regen fairly quickly unless you definately need force, you won't take very much damage due to your LS deflecting alot of shots.
2. Sap almost never works against a BH unless he's too stupid not to use a SAC pup or using a high SAC rifle while he spams high damage attacks.
3. Don't rely too heavily on macros, I time people's macros and disable them with disarming shot, it throws them off.
4. spamming blond, dizzy, stun doesn't really do anything other than reduce my damage by 10% and you're depleting force with these attacks, like I already do much damage you to anyways.
Oh yeah, KD them when they are dry on action and do your best damage attacks THEN sap them as they will try and kite or stick to low cost attacks and that is when you can deal out the damage, don't AI and don't dervish since you'll be wasting valuable force and a BH has no limited pools other than drying up action.

One question. Would you have posted this if you'd died after that long of a fight? If so, I applaud you. If not, then I congradulate you on your win.
