Thread: Hey a interesting BH idea

Hey i had an idea recently about Doing BH missions. What if there was an option to capture your missions alive? I know this wouldnt work for jedi, they will come up with something and there goes that idea. But for Npc missions, this would create new content, new less deadly weapons. And like types of ropes/hand cuffs/energy cuffs. And if you even want to get further with it, you can place your mark aboard your ship, has to be a big ship, and if hes more dangerous maybe more then 1 BH has too work togther. I mean a BH is solo yes, bvut it would be nice if we can make them work togther in some way. Like there would be extremely deadly people, that you would need to watch so they dont escape, and stuff like that. This would add alot of new content for some professions. New items for artisans to craft, shipwrights can craft energy cells so prisoners can not escape.


Now i know the odds of anything like this happening but i would think it would be a nice addition.

You're reviving a very old discussion that originally started at the beginning of the game. I love the idea and thought it a little more realistic than always killing your mark. Don't know how many BH players ever played Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on PS2, but I envisioned the SWG version of bounty hunting would work similar to that. There would be "Wanted Alive" or "Wanted Dead" with ways to capture your marks. I wonder if both the Jedi and Bounty Hunting communities could get along with a system like that. It would add a cool element of role-play.

it would be pretty fun I think. I've been wanting more gadgets for a long time. Because BH are scouts we get those darts and mesh things but they can only be used on creatures. It would be cool if we could use such gadgets on npc's or jedi to either root or slow them down. Little traps and tricks like that would make BH more dangerous and moe fun to play. Right now i just run up BANG BANG BANG get my moeny. It would be really cool and fun if I could whip out a wire mesh trap and stop a jedi in his tracks for say 10 seconds like stopping shot (or what ever the timer is) to keep him from escaping with force run. I just really wish we had more cool little gadgets.


They could incorporate it into the radial menu when we incap a jedi, either DB or capture. If captured he gets "cloned" at the dathmir prison and db gets sent to the cloner as usual. It would add so much more role playing and stuff, plus making the jedi who was griding kash have to drive across dath would be more fun than db'ing i think lol. then the jedi would have to hitch a ride to kash to get his ship back.

You'd be more like the US Marshals or ATF then lol, but i guess it that would be quite fun. Wouldn't really be "bounty hunting" anymore though =p

I was thinking about the BH system as well today. Doesnt seem to make much sense for a mark to be in the hills of a remote planet 8k away from the nearest travel source. I think it would be neat for some marks to be in cities, drinking in a cantina somewhere. Seems that way you can have a more engaging battle, having to chase the mark around the city and such. Would also give the mark a chance to hop on shuttles to try running away. Basically smarter Ai. If the mark is in the hills then maybe it would be at a camp or some other structure where you have to take out lower level body guards before you can get to your mark. Of course though I would prefer to see content for the other classes before we get another pass *cough* *cough* smugglers. Its only fair. The bondage idea is a good one though.

I think the AI should be the least of the devs worries. But if they did implement an AI i'd love to see something like the AI in F.E.A.R. It's so awesome to see the bots jumping through windows ducking behind cover,and yelling radio commands.
