Would be funny. The community has been pushing for a timer on /duel for some time. It's probably the best solution. Let the Jedi challenge you, but if you do not have their mission, then you should be allowed to beat on them.
yeah im sure you came up on more than 4 jedis grinding. trying beating all 4 when the /duel you. gl

Agreed, it would be stupid to fight all 4 at once. However, I'm confident that I could beat at least 3 out of the 4 in a series against all. What I meant by the comment however, was that a player should have a timer on a /duel request and not have an /end command straight away. Say 20-30 seconds, give the other a chance to engage. /duel is an overt challenge to someone. It's attune to throwing down a guantlent.
When I am talking smack looking for some action, and the words get harsh, I /duel the person picking a fight with. It's like saying "oh yeah?! Put up or shut up."
Doing /duel and /end is like saying "Put up or shut up..... No wait, sorry, I don't really want to fight you, can we be friends?" lol
I think some of you took the idea wrong -- its not that a duel challenge is an instant fight - the person who challenges you just doesn't get to cancel it. You get to chose which (if any) challenge to accept. They would need to institute a similar set of rules to duels as they have with bounty missions in regards to helping people involved in the combat.
I dont care if 15 jedi challenge me at once, because I can take on which ever I chose. If you were to leave the timer open ended and you could come back at them anytime in the next, say 1 hour from the time of the challenge it would give you lots of time to prep and stalk them for the right opportunity. I would give even the uberleet starport jedi something to think about, as it stands I can give any of them a good fight and can kill my fair share, haveing the chance that a valid mission and 3-4 open duels out there will make any of them a little paranoid.
