Thread: Mission Incomplete

This is my horror story on a mission I did last nitemy missionwas on lok but I was already in theed and I thaught id go for it.
Ok I get there and he is down by the volcano and in past he almost always heads to the starport so I decide to head him off but no he is heading towards the imperial base 7km later he is now heading towards the starport in nyms.
After tracking for almost 45 mins now I noticed he must be on a mount cause I was getting up dates like 2200 n of me then 2 mins later he was 4000 w how can this be o well.
I get within 100m and in big white letters I get Mission incomplete I was really mad this is first time for I have had white ones and invisible. I hope this isnt something new and is there a time limit or something now this took longer cause of his warping and stuff and here is a ss of it and I am on cable and was getting bad lag last nite I usally ping in 80s so maybe lag was a factor.

Happened to me several times.
You can't do anything about it.
Oh, well, you can always add some "cries from a BH"

If your waypoint is at 0,0 I think the mission is always bugged and when you get close enough to it it will say incomplete. In the old days you had to manualy abort the mission when you saw this.
Also if a mark is IN water it auto incompletes the mission. If you look on your map and see that the mark is in a body of water it might be a good idea to go ahead and abort however I have had luck and occasionaly by the time I have gotten close the mark made it to land and I was able to complete.
Generaly I have found that you have to be within a km of the target (I think I should have paid more attention to actual distance sorry) before it incompletes so if you are patient and dont want to abort it might be a good idea to wait it out and see where your mark moves.
Basicaly there are a few bugs with the NPC missions left... and they proabably will always be there just be patient.

yea maybe this is answered somewhere in this forum, but i'm a new bounty hunter, acccepted 2 missions, and each time when they lead me way the hell out in the boonies, when i get within 200m of supposed targets, all of a sudden i'm told mission incomplete... very frustrating.
=/
is tehre something i'm missing?

yeah some of the NPC missions do that, i think its because they cant spawn or something, was the waypoint in the middle of some water?
oh and... boonies?

yeah, when this happened to me I just logg off and get a cop of coffee. Maybe change to another location (use Keeren, my favorite) And you only tried 2 missions, wait til you get the "target not online" way up there!! The ways of BH takes a lot of patience, the general rule is, if you don't have the patience, just drop it and do something else before it gets you so frustrated you wan to quit the game!

Over the last week, I have stalked several jedi, but was never able to complete the mission. Or fail it either. I just got a message that the mission was incomplete, no explanation at all. For example, I tracked one jedi to Talus, and thought he was headed toward the Detainment Center in the southeastern corner of the map,and he was almost there when I got that same "Mission Incomplete" system message. As it turns out, he had stopped in what I'm guessing was his home town, only about 1k from the POI. This was the first time I'd even heard of the jedi, so I didn't know anything about him...habits, likes/dislikes, what he avoids, how he travels, and I had only been tracking him for about 10 minutes when the mission ended. I even checked to make sure the guy was still online to see if that was the problem, by putting him on my friends list for a few seconds (I'm not dumb enough to keep jedi on my friends list. It's too risky, considering how easy it is for a jedi to countertrack).
The message is similar to the one you get when your NPC target is out in the middle of an ocean. Has anyone else had problems with this? I don't bother with /bugging this situation, since customer service with this game blows more than a hurricane. Let me know your thoughts, jedi player comments are welcome too.

Normally, this happens when another BH beats you to it..
But i must add that this happened to me 2 times in a row as well on the same target.
Tracked that Jedi to the same spot, was about 1k away from him and *poof*.. mission incomplete message.
So i thought, oh well bad luck lets try again..
Same spot, he was still there, waited a bit again in the 1k area to see if he moved and *poof* again, mission incomplete.
After that i tried another mission wich worked out fine, the mission that is.. not the victory

I lost one today...Got my tanks with me and we jumped in close but the Idiot got whacked by a quenker and I lost the mission

that shouldnt have happend, you should have still had the mission.

Question, I was actively hunting a jedi mark the other day and I followed him through a couple of cities, he was never more than 1000m away from me, then I got the mission incomplete message??? I only had the mission for less than two hours. Anyone have any idea why?
