Thread: Having Custom Armor Crafted Need Input
Layered is 960K (6000/6000/6000 OR 8000/4000/6000 OR 7450/5450/5550)
Capped unlayered is 360K (7000/5000/6000 Kinetic/Energy/Special)
Now, my knee jerk reaction would be to go for the 6000/6000/6000 and have everything even across the board, although the capped unlayered really doesn't look that shabby either.
My question to you veteran Bounty Hunters, if I ever intended to pursue Jedi Hunting, would it be worth it to layer this armor, or would I wind up using different armor entirely anyway?

I am not a veteren BH per say, but having fought enough Jedi to see what they use for damage, you will need Energy and Kinetic. Don't worry about the special protection.
Most BH's go for the highest energy resists to protect against LS attacks, but it seems to me more Jedi are starting touse Powers that do Kinetic damage (some attacks bypass armor 100% anyways..Force Choke, although armor does seem to protect against Mind Blast) to include the mixed template Jedi using Kinetic damage pikes, and it's a tough call as to which one to go with.
Personally, I would take the high Kinetic or across the board resists (those usually giving the highest Kinetic as Energy layered armor makes Kinetic resist suffer, coupled with a PSG will give you the best Energy and Kinetic.
Not to mention, unlayered armor is 1/2 the price and unless you are ADK'ing that suit..you will burn through pretty quickly, especially when 1/2 the Jedi will triple incap you to destroy your armor.
