Thread: Question for MBH Master Carbineers
The Nym's are a solid PvP option since they have kinetic/acid damage and most players are set up for energy resistance. When you are dealing Jedi, you just want to lay down as much damage as possible, without draining your action pool. Look for a weapon with a low SAC cost so you can spam special attacks. I'm MC/MBH as well, and I use a HLR. The DPS is lower than my Proton, but it seems to hit a lot harder, not sure why (I'm sure someone will chime in and explain).
A lot of folks like to use a High-Cap, but personally, I keep my distance with the HLR and try to keep them snared or KD.
If you want to stick with a carbine, hit the carbineer board and check out the "Uber Carbine" post,I think it is sticky, and it has a lot of good examples on what makes a solid carbine.
keep your eyes peeled for a 700+ max dmg nyms carbine, with i think 175 acid dmg. since it's kinetic it bypasses psgs, and at master carb you'll get an mdps of over 600 witha good slice on it.

Hi Dezi,
Why not go Mrifle then, if that's your weapon of choise, instead of Mcarb? Just curious, as I am Mcarb but have been thinking about switching to rifles. I'd really prefer the extra range, my carbs only do 50m.

I've been asked that a few times, the primary reason I went carbine is because of the target control. I like charge shot (seems to work more often than underhanded) and the area effects are nice on spin groups. The rifleman tree has some devastating shots that work very well in PvP, especially the sniper tree, however, a shot that hits for 3K against an elite BH NPC mark is often less than 10%, if they charge you, you can't use it (20 meter limit) and the recharge timers are pretty high.
Oh, and I'm lazy, I don't want to regrind MR just to try it and see if it's better. ![]()
