Ok Im currently a Jedi an I am 0/0/2/4 in light saber basiclly with that I can only kill some giant sand beatles or some banthas. Now you want me to fight you when your way better than me. Whats the fun in that, I run because I cant fight you I hide because I know you wont stop until im dead. Now a jedi knight should accept your challenge and fight you, I think that fair. But dont Hunt a padawan whos barely novice light saber and expect him to fight you.

look I can see that playing a Jedi is a challenge. But its a challenge that you decided to take. I RP my BH as a guy looking for a pay check. I dont condemn anyone trying to do the best they can to bag a Jedi...or even a player/Jeditrying the best they can to get away. Thats the part of the game that makes it fun for me. The only thing I hate are the ones who use the exploits time and time again and claim to be "good" ...one side or the other. If I had an hour long hunt trying to chase you down only to find out you made it to water or flew off planet ( I'm betting JTL will make it much more easy for Jedi to hide) then I had fun. I'll keep the job on hand and try again another day.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by accepting a challenge though. Are you saying that we Bounty Hunters look for anyJedi to fight? Well we dont. We look for jobs that will give us the best chances for success. I dont play my BH as aknightof the round table, letting his target know hes being hunted. You could re-title our profession as an assassin because for all intensive purposes thats what we do. We dont want you to know we are coming. We dont want to let any bounty have the advantage in the fight. A smart bounty hunter uses stealth and looks for the prime moment to attack.I would much rather make the fight short, sweet and hopefully one that goes my way. paid , happy, and hunting another day.

I have to believe that you knew making the choice to play a Jedi meant knowing that you're going to be hunted. By getting on the terminals, itmeant you did something to get noticed and you knew this too. Yeah I can see that in a way not being powerful enough to have a chance to fight back and win would be frustrating, but again these are all results of choices you made.

I'd like to end this by saying that there are a great deal of players/bhs who arent flamers and would rather not get into the big ego tripping that seems to go with the whole BH/Jedi thing. I dont hold a grudge in a game that I play just to have fun. Somedays I win and some days I dont. I'll stop playing this game when win or lose I dont have any fun playing.

Good luck Jedi.....but know this, someone like me will be hunting you

The facts are you get hunted as many jedi exploit the " target not online " bug, you will be hunted as saber block at mls is insane and a solo ranged bh is often forced to take a lower paying mission, most solo knights run from melee bh on sight and refuse to accept the challenge ( although they're under no obligation to do so).

In the end though you're a jedi on the BH terminals and we're bounty hunters who hunt jedi for fun and a decent payday, also most of us don't expect any jedi to stand and fight but calling a jedi knight a coward as they run off from a solo bh is a bit fun hehe.

I remember telling you there areonly 2 ways to get off the terms, do nothing for 3 weeks or get db from a bh with your mission. However it's best not to get on the terms in the first place, but remember a BH will kill you sooner or later if you keep getting on the terminals and then you'll only have yourself to blame.

As one of the few remaining moldy oldies on my server, I have this to say. RUN!!! Log out in water, log out in your house, just run. I don't give a rat's shiny pink tuchus about runners. It is the exploiters of the logout/login bug that I wish to find and pummel senseless with their keyboards. Hell, I would run too, and so would every single BH in here, don't let em fool you.

yea.. run.. we bh don't mind when you run.. it's when we can't track you at all because of exploits/bugs/whatever.

As for you being hunted as a low level jedi, the only thing I can say to you is, blame the guys who are exploiting the droid bug. They are the ones that are frustrating the bh community, they are the ones who are leaving us with no one to hunt (as many many many jedi are doing this - no matter how they rationalize it in their own minds). Sure, we could hunt higher level jedi I suppose.. and get our butts handed to us (thanks in large part to saber block, and our inability to get around it)... or we could actually do a mission and get paid a meager amount (i've no idea what you'd be worth on the terms - probably about 40k?).

My point is.. after running from mission terminal, to spynet op, and back 10x and getting "target offline" messages when the target clearly is not offline, I'm more than happy to jump on the first mission I take that responds with "your target has been located". I couldn't care less what planet you're on, or how much it pays at that point.. I just want to PLAY MY BH.

People seem to have this mixed up idea that as bh, we should have morals, and not hunt lower level jedi, or not hunt jedi of the same faction, or fight fairly; perhaps send an email to you before we begin attacking... the cold hard truth is that as a bh, our loyalties don't lie within any faction.. we have no morals (in the game).. we are the starwars equivelant to mafia hit man. To a good hitman, it doesn't matter if you're man, woman, 10 or 40 yrs old, if your hair is pink, blue or brown.. you've got a target on you.. and that target is money.

Myself, I am an Imperial citizen (faction) but not an imperial soldier. I work within the law to uphold the law. If that means hunting down a 6 point jedi like yourself pleases the emperor.. then you know what? I'm gonna do my best to please him.

One thing I do think should be rectified though, is that your xp loss on cloning, should be tied to your jedi skill level, just like the bounty is. IE: I db you, you lose your 200k xp. But on cloning, (instead of losing another 200k (or so I've heard)) you lose say 4k per jedi skill point. so your net loss would be 224k xp instead of 400k. This way it would discourage you from being too open about your jedi-hood, but still not make the deficit so much that you can never overcome it. I would also propose that once a jedi reaches a net negative xp of X million (find a number for X) that s/he loses a box of jedi skills. This way, a 250 point jedi dies (yah .. right) to a bh, he loses 200k for the db, and a million for the cloner. if he reaches -X million xp, he loses a box of jedi skill (and his xp is set to 0), and has to regrind it (gives the jedi something to do, and keeps bh happy I think). Visibility should also be fixed on cloning, not on db (this way the jedi has to choose to be either off the terms (and lose a bunch of xp), or stay on the terms (and lose less xp, but be aware that they could be attacked again and again, until they clone).

In my case, i could care less if you run or not, it adds to the fun of the hunt! What i get mad at is when jedi put houses right next to prime xp spots such as the squil caves and then just force run there, hide and send hate tells. The fact that jedi are able to prance around showin off themselves and then just being a foot away from safety just pi**es me off. Thats my input...

See, I don't think this jedi is whining about the fact that he's hunted.. he's just saying exactly why he runs from the fight. He knows he can't win. So he has no incentive to stick around, only losing some XP is his alternative to running. He's not complaining that he got hunted in the first place, perhaps just telling why he runs. Jedi know they're going to be hunted.. a lot of them whine about it. But this guy, he's not whining, he's telling people why he runs. It doesn't make him a whiner or a coward to do it. There is no "courage" in standing there to die.

my question is y is it that i was hunting and like 8 rebs came after my jedi god do poeple think that highly of my char that they need that many will u all make more than 20k? i was just wondering. ow yes i did run. but when i get my temp done even if i am not knight i will fight its just most of use when a bh kills us we have to spend a whole day or 2 to make up what we lose in xp. now if a bh would come to solo me i would be willing to fight.

There would be more targets and less focusing on individuals if BH missions weren't so freaking buggy, and if Jedi didn't exploit those bugs.
